Generally, you can try HKL at Bukit Merah Industrial there.

That's where I usually go.

I am using vesrah sintered pads. Cost $35

Sintered pads can withstand much higher temp.

Anyone want it less than 500km on them. For F4i,954,929 and super 4 vtec...

raking, ebc and dp brake pads all have sintered version pads for OEM replacement.

I reckon the answer is pretty obvious.....

why dun use sintered pads?

lol

but sintered pad will eat up the rotor faster rite????

Posted

Is faster than ceremic but wont eat them up in term of months....

But most of us dont change rotors, right? Even rotors spoil, we will rather change bike....

If u used good sintered pads, I guess rotors wear is minimal.

In some cases, used inferior ceremic pads also eat up rotors, like brands, Dxxxxx,ISxxx and some funny brands do eat up rotors as well.....

1st, rotor subjects to wear and tear....

2nd.....any pads eats up the rotors.....

3rd.....if rotors start to have groove....then the problem is the owner himself/herself.

if all these are not accepted...mai brake loh...use engine brake loh

my question is

does sintered pad wear out the rotor faster than normal pad in the market

Posted

Yes it does....

But u have more initial bite..

More progressive braking

Withstand higher temp

Need minimal bedding

Less pumping brakes when riding on rainy days

Might have shorter braking dist too

SO do those factors offset the cons of rotors wear?

Might have shorter braking dist too -> is confirm have shorter braking distance.

:thumb: yeah!

Apart from AP,

stand by... another very powerful brake brand is coming in soon... I'll also get the kangtau for you all who're interested. Don't tell you what brand first... (not joking, is real one)

from what i heard from winston from ideal motors.once u change into aftermarket rotors, u should use sinstered brake pads. they save ur rotor and enhance the life span of it compared to normal cheapo ones.
