got a small problem to ask all 929 riders..

My bike sometimes switch off by itself while im dropping gears aft riding fast eg. expressway..

already tried the fuel injection cleaner...

also just change the spark plugs..

what could be wrong?

thankz.

Maybe a bad connection to ground. My bike had this problem before.... ride halfway bike dies for a short while, then restarts again.

You can try setting up another path to ground and see if this helps. Simply connect a piece of wire from your fuel pump to the bike's ground point.

latest tire review!!!

tire? BT014

its good!

its sticky!

its cheap!

it last!

BUT?

its damn stupid design!

1st 014 use 1 mth a small metal rod went through.

2nd 014 less than 2wk small nail but didn't manage to went through cuz i saw it before it did. 2wks later? 1 small teny tiny nail 10mm went through.

number of tires =2

lenght of usage = 2mth

number of nails = 3

shows that the tire rubber is so thin that a 10mm nail can actually went through and punch a hole. not forgeting that theres steel belting in it. its a road tire yet so thin.

moral of the story?

i'm not going to use it again.

due to previous experiences, i would never switch back to bridgestone tires again. (even after the agent offered me a free replacement tire)

How your 10R ?????

Its a freaking lousy bike! Dun know why bike always lifts the front upon hard accelaration at 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear.

Speedo can only reach 299, cannot see 3

Rear wheel always slides exiting corners.

Front brake sucks!

Vibration at the handle bar can give you a orgasm .

I want back my 929!!!

or exchange with me your k5 ............................... *wink* *wink*

No lah ...Kekeke Haven really test the bike yet cos yet to ride alone in malaysia.

But this bike can really pull hard.

Love the growling sound of the exhaust but not as loud as the k5.

Need to change the stock wind screen. Only took the bike to 240 with my gf can feel the head shaking.

Bike seems to be quite agile....handling light. think it needs a damper. need to take it to the track to test it.

Riding position good

Front brakes really sucks when compare to my 929...I ordered some galfer lines and ebc pads already see how it goes when install.

Vibration at handle bar abit jialat...made my hands numb sometimes...put on the heavy balancer now better.

This bike make a whole hell of tapping noise at idiling or sometimes riding....but its said to be normal.

I m loving it!

i was running BT010 on my fronts. grip was great for the beginning 4 months. after that, the tyre began to have uneven wear and cupping problem. checked with my frens who were using bridgeston tires (BT012, BT010, BT011) all also experiencing same problem. my close fren who bought a new ZX6RR that time was given a new set of BT012ss tires- also face the same problem.

the last straw was when i pushed the bike hard in corners, slammed hard on the front brakes and it fishtailed and tankslapped all the way. i was so pissed i contacted the Bridgestone dealer in Penang n told him abt the problem. he said they would give me a new BT014 FOC, provided i send my bike for checkup in KL.

he kept insisting that it was the problem with my front forks not tuned properly/rim not balanced or bent/wheel bearing spoil etc. so anyway dismantled n sent the tyre to them for checking n told them all my frens using BT front tires were experiencing the same problem too.

i declined his offer for a new BT014, n i switched to a Metzeler MeZ3 front. it felt so damn good on my bike in dry n wet weather. never gave me any tankslap n grip was at its best when i push it on country roads. n i dint have any cupping/uneven wear on the tyre, used up all the sides before i could finish the centre threads. (6000km)

btw i have a few frens running on BT014s at the moment, complain is thread depth is too little (100% true if u check the bridgestone website) and feedback is it only feels good when new, after a few mths they start to give handling problems.

imo, bridgestone is just crap... they'd be better off making rubber condoms than rubber tires :sian:

yea i've got the same problems with 010 too, the tyre wears unevenly and i fishtailed abt more than 50 meters while not even braking hard going straight on a wet tarmac rd..

tried the 012ss also, its juz alittle bit better than the 010..

BT010always have this cupping problem which i believe most of the bridgestone tires have.. but after seeing those 014, seems like the problem have been solved..

but my concent is that the amount of rubber is so thin even a 10mm nail can patch through. no forgeting that theres steel belting in it. it shows that the construction is weak.

no is to headache wat tire i'm going to change next time which is within my budget of $$350..

hello. qn to ask.

frame sliders for cbr600rr on the cowl, wanna install must drill into the fairing izzit? the cbr has no ready attachments to fix the sliders like some of the other sportsbikes? like that will cost me approximately how much (at reputable shops), including the sliders?

btw just got me the bike, 5 days old today and 120km mileage on the clock, and the bike is suhhhhhhhhhhhh-weet!!!!!

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!
