As for the car, I'm still thinking wat I should get. I dun really trust Subaru. Maybe an Evo8? ... I take d new black interior wif sunroof n in black in colour. Still thinking... I already got a bidded no plate which my dad have bid. I still got time until next week.... Maybe this Sat, go n have a drive test. Anyone wan to accompany me?

I will be glad to give you my humble opnion dude. I used to be a test driver and local car magazine journalist. If you are gonna buy something like an Evo8, its good to make a good decision before buying one.

After much discussion wif my parents, they intend to get me a Honda fit or an Honda Accord. Personally think is a bit too long for Honda Accord. I only P plate leh! ANyway, thanks for d gd n useful response u guys have given me.

Okay, since your parents said Accord, then go for the Euro R. You won't regret it. Same engine as the DC5 but torquier.

yes, i agree with TachiTJRS... but depends on whether if u wana get 2.0 or 2.3L coz diff..... 2.3L iz the Euro-R spec n i just got a great place to recommend u good price.... even if u wana get a Fit..... but frankly speaking, i rather u get a small car like 1.3 Fit first as to familiarise with road driving then get a bigger one in the future.... somemore Fit got great resale value, low consumption n a damn gorgeous small car.... anyway im gona get one soon also... so maybe by then we can go out together or maybe join the Honda Fit/Jazz club.....

Okay... I just went to Honda showroom this morning wif my dad n have a test drive. I feel very comfortable driving Honda Euro R Accord but d problem is, a little too big. I also try d Honda fit, very easy to park n not as comfortable as Accord. At d end, he say I should drive Accord n he went ahead to d salesman n brought d Accord. Sian.... nvm ask which one I like, then he go ahead.

 

My car will be out on Jan 05..... hee hee. if free, next time I can drive U all out!

Actually there are two types of Accord locally. The bigger (uglier) 2.0 and 2.3 litre from Kah Motors, which is actually the U.S. spec and not performance oriented. The grey import ones (JDM) are sold by private importers like Leco and Hua YAng etc. These are the small (a little)

but the top of the range has the 2.0 K20A engine from the DC5 type R with 220bhp and a 6 speed manual gearbox.

 

However, I quite agree with White 954. If you are a new driver, its better to perhaps start with a less powerful car like the Fit/Jazz. Its quite a fun car actually. Versatile and fuel economic plus spacious. Parts and service are cheap. I am trying to get my folks to buy one in Yellow too.
