I saw one thread posting abt taking care of raincoat. You can use seam sealer to double seal your new bike cover.. Better protection i guess. Rain usually sip thru the sew/joint area. So just need to seal tt area. Just like inside a raincoat if eu all notice tat.. Just a piece of suggestion frm me.. Not yet tried tho...

Im looking for raincoat tat is heat resistance.. So it will prevent it frm melting on my cnrome exhaust pipe.. It would such a hassle to remove melted bike cover on my bike.. Any suggestion to prevent it frm sticking on it..

Are those carbon fibre stickers able to withstand the pipe heat? I have stuck some over the chrome cover over the pipe, and it has remained intact so far. i recall the 219 shop telling me that the stickers are heat resistant. u may want to check with them.

I ride a vintage bike and it is kinda small... even the smallest oxford cover is too big for my bike. There was once that I covered up my bike and tied a knot at the side of my bike cos the cover is really too big. My exhuast was still hot at that time... it burnt a hole on my oxford cover. My exhuast was newly chromed somemore.. heartpain!!!

My bike is parked in the open all the time and I only ride once or twice a week. I use my oxford cover in August 2011, and rain water already started sipping into my bike since December. Maybe cos Sg has been raining non-stop recently. I am planning to get Trax cover and try it out. Oxford lasted

Can the Oxford cover cover over the exhaust immediately after a ride? Will it melt onto the exhaust?

My rides:

2001 - 2004: Mazda 323

2004 - Present: Honda Jazz

2010 - Present: Honda CB100

Oxford Cover is better than others i used to have. Now lets see how long it last.

I got no issue on my Micro Exhaust. The wrap seem keep away the heat.

I'm using oxford cover too. The better one I would say!

Maybe to prevent theft, animals and even parking aunties(maybe).. do it the primitive way then. Pee on your cover to mark your "territory" :)

LOL!

By the way, how to prevent cats from sleeping underneath your bike? There's this cat always sleep in my bike cover, he will sleep on my tank / seat area sometimes... After I changed to a new bike cover, he is back again... >:(

my friend had the same problem. he went to daiso to buy those plastic spikes pieces (i found them at the gardening section) and placed them on the seat and secured it with some bungee cords. no cat problem after that.

good luck.
