Thanks, bro.

I am in Vietnam, and I must schedule fly to Sing and bring my HISS key to Boon Siew for Program and dup keys.

My understand is they will read the sync code of my key, then they will program to the chip inside the new blank key. It's take around 1hour for program 02 HISS key when I come there? How do we check is it work or not if my bike is not available there?

Please correct me if I wrong.

Thanks,

as far as i'm aware, you can't program your key without your bike.

how exactly it work, i can't say for sure. but it work something like this:

1st key will initiate the start sequence to re-program the hiss and the key's chip.

then the hiss will program itself to recognise the key(s). you need all the keys that you want hiss to recognise to be present, i.e. if you program only 2 keys, those keys will be recognised by hiss. the 3rd key (if you have kept it at home or somewhere) will become useless. hence, as far as i know, u need all the following ingredients to be present in order to re-program the keys - the hiss (which is fixed on the bike) and all the keys you want re-programming.

my suggestion is for you to give boon siew a call, or drop them an email.

they should be better to advise you and they may have solutions that we do not know of.

their contact info can be found at their website:

in vietnam, the bike capacity is limited at 150cc.

so legally, there shouldn't be any super4. hence, it won't come as a surprise that the honda distributor over there do not know how to program the hiss.

but your first question is very interesting, how did our friend get his super4? my guess is he has his connections ;)

You are correct. Vietnam's law restricted driving over 150cc, except you are member of: Motorcycles/bicycles sport dept; gov. Then you can driving over 150cc bike.

@floppy: How do you know that information?

Btw, I contacted Boon siew already and waiting for their reply. Would you please do me a favor ask some mec about HISS dup?

Thanks in advance.

those info are just some stuff that i read up and thought it will be helpful if i were to take part in "who wants to be a millionaire" :cheeky:

actually, i was planning to do a trip from sg to china through malaysia, thailand, cambodia, vietnam and china. so i did a little background study and info gathering on those countries. sadly, that 150cc restriction came to light and dash my hopes :weep: it would have been really nice to ride from hcmc to hanoi, via the coastal route of mui ne, nha trang, hoi an, hue and ninh binh :thumb:

i will help u ask my mech about the hiss when i visit him this weekend. but don't hold your hopes up too high, for i doubt they are familiar with programming hiss and the keys with the bike being present.

I duplicated my key's a few years back. I had to bring the whole bike down to boon siew to duplicate the key's.

@floppy: Driving on highway in Vietnam is dangerous for you. Speed limited at 70km/h and people or animal can walk in front of you with out any notice or warning. But we usually reach over 130.:giddy:

I did search in some forum of Autos, some Honda TSX owners (some models using HISS keys) said in case of need to dup HISS key for their cars, they just took out the ECU and the Ignition lock to service center.

I am fully hoped that it's same with motorbike.
