Lta on super4 now??...

hello guys. was on the road lately at u.thomson n happen to saw an lta officer riding on a super4... izit just me or are they now using super4?.. soo does they still have e same powers as the usual lta officers riding the class 2 bikes?.. thanks for clarify.. ill do stay clear of them.. =)

You mean LTA enforcers? Those wearing vests? LTA Officers rides big bike with the license plate starts with LTA.

Bro this is not e lta from cisco or from other agency. This is the lta/rov coz the plate states lta. Same uniform as traffic police but only riding super 4.. How lidat?.

from wat i know... if is a LTA plate, it is a Police Officer, TP.... if s a FXX plate... is those summons ppl....

they are the newer batch of LTA aka ROV riders.

 

they report directly to LTA, and are not transferred from TP HQ. meaning to say, they are not police officers.

 

and from what is floating on the forums, they are pretty guai lan and yaya..

yes. i just got stopped by one lta enforcer on a super4 last week. i was riding my vespa and i was fined for no side mirrors. so therefore yep, same powers.

no idea, but i believe they should be restricted to ONLY vehicular modifications, rather than traffic law enforcements.

 

oh 1 more thing. just found out that LTA outriders do convoy escorts as well.. saw 1 whole stretch of malaysia lorries carry SAND being escorted by them along PIE 1 late night..

Maybe use S4 because people with class 2 not enough..or easier to go through rush hour with S4 rather than class2 with panniers. Most of not all LTA are guai lan and yaya one. TP still ok.

not sure, only know police side is straight can get cl2, dun nid to 2b - 2a. so maybe this newer batch, as from a bro above says, is not from police, so they might not have cl2?

Their walkie talkie even more "stylish"... It's a clip on on their chest pocket to check on your license and insurance.

 

I do notice they also have speed dectector on their bike.. But from what I see, it's to catch those speeding lorry/bus etc.

Recently saw one, good thing he didn't bother with my made in Msia plate, LED signal lights and smoky exhaust instead went ahead and forced a lorry hogging the middle lane to the extreme left.

there are LTA enforcers under the new scheme on VFR as well.

 

i wonder how's their training like to be enforcer on the road.. doubt it is as sophisticated as TP..

LTA ROV officer used to be on loan from Traffic Police, what I heard recently is LTA ROV took back the role and hired their own officers to patrol instead of using Traffic Police officers. Another thing is Traffic Police don't give their officer straight to class 2 anymore. For those without license they still have to take 2B follow by 2A 1st before they can go for their conversion course to ride Traffic Police bikes.

their min is 2A entry.. that's why they have the S4 with LTA plate.

 

anyway, can confirm your sources that TP dun get straight class 2 anymore? shouldn't be the case as not every PO will have 2b to start with. plus their form of training is totally different from what we are learning in driving centers..

 

and it's a minimal 2.5 years before getting the coveted class 2..
