small bike with FF..funny?

full protective gear and ride safe is ok.. but if u see one orange spec III with full face helmet, race armour and pants and boots trust me he is not safe.. tailgate u and come up wif reason i admire ur bike.. whizz past u and bring down knee while cornering.. overtake must swerve the bike.. now is that a safe rider with full protective gear? maybe u guys seen him b4 at woodlands.. u might thought he's some young punk messing around.. but when confronted he's a timid old man which i have no respect for..

 

go on if u wanna wear a full face helmet.. mindset (safety) must be there ok!

 

Very good point silverstein. Safety and Protection are two different things. Protection is your helmet, jacket, glove, boots etc. Safety is in actions, habits, decisions, mentality, behaviour etc. You need protection at the point where you are not riding safe, or other road users are not driving safe.

who the heck cares wat bike u ride & what helmet u shud wear n what not..in the end the rider is ourselves & we take of our safety & no one else..those who care AND pursuade others to do the same are jus plain vain-cosmetic-apparel-crazy-pots..those who dun den thats their business la..

Take a look at the indonesians, pillipinos and thais. They riding kupchai, then use full face. why? I bet u know the answer. and btw, some malaysian apek also wear full face when in and out to and fro from singapore. why? koz apek face chio mah, must jaga the face. just my 2 cents.

I'm riding a Gilera 180 and using a FF. My friends laughs at me but hey I value my face and concerned for my own safety, buzz off I tell them.

juz try riding a small bike then slide ur jaw on the road with a FF helmet .. den u will know funny or not liao..

FULL FACE!!!

 

I buang once @ 90kmh - my FF was badly scratched and basically have to throw away the helmet...

 

Good thing is still got my face - but broke collar bone plus flesh on shoulder gone - pain!!! not only 1 day - but for whole bloody month must go change dressing!

 

Now I gear up.

I always wanted to purchase a flip up full face helmet! But i also like mfizz evo 2. And if i buy FF, i put my open face one in my box, cannot fit sia! I now can fit 2 open face helmet in my box. Stress man.

heh i broke my jaw before.. no way am i gonna wear a helmet that doesn't cover my chin! I even hesitate at the thought of getting a flip up - what if the locking device doesn't hold?? >.

that time i went for a cub gathering, i was the only one wearing ff, granted it's a flip up. the rest all open face.

 

not to mention i was e only one wearing mesh jacket as well.

 

 

neh mind wan la, laugh lor, anyway wear ff cannot see ur face, they also dunno who u r or wat u look like. u giarh paiseh arh?!

 

after i skidded and scratched on tarmac, even with a mesh jacket on, i got small injuries. imagine if din wear and my skin scratch on the tarmac!

find that other bikers will stare at me like i am alien

 

but non-bikers seem to have become more friendly after i gear up properly... e.g. my neighbours strike up conversation with me in the lift and tell me that its cool to ride motorcycle, etc.

safety is the most important. dun care wat others think. its 4 ur own gd. unless u r wearing a ff wif singlet, shorts and slippers. den i think u r more 2 showing off den safety.
