i think it irks car drivers when ..

lets say u cut through all the cars intending to turn right at the junction , , while approaching the near turn right , u notice another 2 motorcycle already queuing up at the dotted line, and instead of queuin ,

u proceed to overtake them to go in front of them , thus thus giving those cars behind a hard time to react,

if u facing a normal sedan car behind u, its still ok , but those sonata taxi , or turbo vehicle ..

And ebrake is to train us to stop at traffic junction quickly if got red light camera

Try doing that after going at 100km/h or more. If you never do it properly, there's a chance your rear wheel skid or front wheel lock and you hit the tarmac. I forgot if they teach you to both tap your brakes, not stiffen your arms and use engine braking.

It is legal. Remember we learned we can overtake on the same lane if there is sufficient space?

In case of an accident, probabbly not a 100% whos wrong or right case and a long time to get any claim.

You'll lose skin too.

If its a car, how to have ample space? Even u ride bicycle also very hard to overtake within the same lane. In school we learn if 1 lane can fit 2 bikes but not 1 bike and 1 car..

If you ride as though you are driving a car...you will be most or less guaranteed to be safe. I dun weave in btn traffic except when vehicles are stationary (and do not have ample space in front to change lane) then will weave passed them to position in front at the stop light awaiting green.

Just judge based on your comfort level imho. I dun think there is anything written stating that they can weave in and out.

A frequently asked question by motorcyclists is "Is lane splitting legal?"[56] The legal confusion in Australia described above is not exceptional. In California no law explicitly and clearly prohibits lane splitting, and significantly, it has become the traditional policy of law enforcement, the courts, and the public in California to tolerate it when it is done safely. However, those engaged in unsafe behavior, including unsafe lane splitting, can still be cited for violating certain sections of the vehicle code.[57] Motorcycle safety author and consultant Pat Hahn wrote in his 50-state handbook of US motorcycling laws that, "Lane sharing with vehicles other than motorcycles is not legal anywhere, including California. However, it is tolerated in California to large degree" and that "California is the only state in the country that allows lane splitting, lane sharing, and filtering. However, contrary to legend, it is not legal. Nor is it illegal. It falls in a gray area unique to California … You can (and will) get stopped and cited if you're riding like an ass."[58]

Other jurisdictions have similar or identical legal codes on the books, yet their authorities have, over time, interpreted the law as prohibiting lane splitting in all cases, even when done safely, and so riders are cited for it.[59] Colorado and Nebraska are examples of jurisdictions where the law does explicitly prohibit lane splitting, while permitting motorcycles to ride two abreast, and making an exception for police officers.[8][60]

Lane splitting is permitted in the following countries:

On another note TS

If you have an accident while lane split, its not worth it to fight. 50/50 or definately you lose. You can only argue if you only hit one car. Cos usually if you lane split hit surely is 2 car and then you are at fault. if you solely hit 1 car, you can say that you are in your lane and he change into your lane and hit you. Unless there is witness or video if not its 50/50. if you hit 2 cars then you totally lose it.

Its and offence and its chargeable if they want to they can charge you dangerous riding or causing danger to other road user. But in school they tell you lane split is a form of safety riding also. So its a grey area. If you wanna split make sure you look out. If you get hit then most importantly is check yourself for injury first. That is why i have a camera on board for purpose like this.

But if you were to bang into someone while lane split, no need to say much, ITS YOUR FAULT!!!! Even touch their mirror also your fault. Your judgement is not good so... you think abt it ba. If you can squeeze thru just slow down take your time.

So ur ego tells u that what u say is still right? And why would anyone wanna zig zag while lane splitting? No wonder u always block the lane and not let ppl pass knowing u are ridin GTR1400 cos u cant split. Please if cant split stay in the lane and let others pass.

Same as jay walking.

It's not right in the eyes of the law, but everyone does it.

So long as you are not dancing around while crossing the road and inviting trouble, it's ok.

If can't lanesplit, might as well drive a cage and enjoy the jam.

Whatever it is, use common sense. Be it lane splitting, walking, or being a human in general sense.
