The area is called Saphan Kwai.....directly below Saphan Kwai BTS station.

Rd name is Palayothin Rd(maybe got minor spelling error there....)

will be goin to bangkok this wkend... together with the asean cup...

anyone who has been there got any idea where got bike shop with

lots of acessories... i will be staying near siam sq... thailand sure

Simple, got to any street side bookstall or shopping mall book store and grab the latest copy of Race Bikes. It's a thai mag for kup bikes and accessories.

inside also got lots of pics and adverts with addresses but in thai.

 

Buy the mag, and take a taxi and show the address to the taxi driver and he takes u there.

haha... i will be going thai this sat let come back on mon must go chong for those items.... well how come 3 weeks ago online see also got no cheap fare. Either tiger or jetstar also not check leh. I working in travel agency also feel sian when i see so ex airfare

Sun most shops are closed. Best to make it to the shops on Sat before 6pm.

i saw the magazine "Race Bikes" just now...

 

seems like thai market flooded with Nuovo, Air Blade, Fino, Mio.... those automatic MOPED....

 

i haven seen any spark / X-1 featured... haha...

hi guys... just got back from bkk... GREAT!!!!

Went to bkk Yamaha Agent... they call it Yamaha Square...

very easy to go there... by their MRTA... however it took

me a few places to get that info and a long taxi ride ->175B...

if u guys are goin to bkk... just take the MRTA and alight at

Sulthisan stn exit the stn and u will see it...

if u exit and see market then u go down back and take another exit...

these are the things i bought...

chain guard [alu red] -> 250B

balancer [alu red] -> 90B

oil filter cover [alu red] -> 155B

foot pegs [alu red] -> 150 B

brake lever [alu red] -> 230B

hook [alu red] -> 180B

rear brake shaft [alu red] -> 190B

tire valve cap [alu blk] -> 33B

oil filter [since over there already just buy 2 lah] -> 80B each

oil seals [x2] -> 14B

key chain [alot] -> 15B each

yamaha small bag -> 29B each

 

in total i spent about 1600B which is abt SGD $70....

tot about buying the screws [alu red] for the fairing which is 10B each

and yamaha t135 original front foot rest abt 2100B...

but my fiancee later no money to go shopping lah.... :sweat:

but i think its worth it lah since go there holiday also...

they also gave me 10% discount when i bargain... hahahaha

bangkok mah must bargain one....

now want to go fix everything ah...

in bangkok alot of places to buy kapchai stuff.

 

nearet n easiest is saphan kwai.. take the BTS/BST(not sure which one correct) train..

stop at the saphan kwai station.

both sides of the road got alot of shops selling the accessory.

 

the last time i went to the biggest one. the shop owned 2units, side by side.

 

sunday most of the spare parts shop close.

best is Saturday. early morning u go Chatuchak market.

on way back, stop at saphan kwai.

shops close ard 6pm local time.

 

i bought some of the local kapchai magazines.

not that helpful. becos some of the shops are located at the outskirts.

get ur friendly hotel reception for advice/translation...

 

and sometimes some of the shops dun stock what ure looking for.

 

have fun shopping. :)

jus come back from bkk bought a number of things for my xiao hong but nothing much compare to x1 they dun really have much produce for x1 and 135z mainly is for noveo and wave and other semi auto biek damn sian la... haiz... well ppls dun need to go yamaha shop la there is nothing inside. I rather u spend more time at the bike shop they are jus like ah boy like that... :cheeky:

All are spread out.

There are a few good ones near the 'pasar'.

A couple near the roundabout in President Hotel.

A few more around the corner after the bank when u cross over the railway.

Hi anyone has experience for shopping of wave parts in Thailand? Cos i going Hatyai next month and was wondering if anyone can help point me in the right direction.

 

1 - are there any famous (good and honest) shops to look out for there?

 

2 - can the shop sellers communicate in english or must we use sign language?

 

3 - are there any bike items tt we are not allowed to bring into singapore? for example any restriction on weight of goods?

 

4 - normally for clothes or stuff its recommended to bargain to half their selling price as it is jacked up for tourist, is this the same for bike stuff? will they try to chop u as they know u are a tourist?

 

5 - can anyone recommend which areas to window shop in? like any bike heaven there? for example malaysia got Ah Gua lane where there are many shops specialising in bikes. Does hatyai haf that too?

 

 

I am intending to buy YSS suspension for my wave and for s4 (the G-series one ) anyone haf bought there before? and mebe some accesories..

 

also does anyone know whether we can buy the YSS suspensions from their factory or do they have agent selling YSS in Hatyai?

 

Thanks and appreciate all the senior bros who have gone to Thailand/ Hatyai to give their inputs and advice.
