how much does the BM grip cost?

Price as per this morning is: $23.93 inclusive of GST.

 

Anyone here noes the best place to install spot lights or fog lights to brighten up the roads during night travelling.

 

Do these lights uses independent voltage or from our own bike batt?

Best place to buy and install might differ.

If getting the hella micro de fog, can get from our future NCX rider, anodise.

Otherwise, limbat and mtechnik do have other options.

 

All fog lights tap power from the bike's battery unless u install bicycle lights (there's some nowadays that are REALLY bright).

 

Best shop to install... Your most trusty bike shop... lights installation aint very complicated, most mechanics should be able to do it. Some may not wanna do it, just because it is time consuming...

There are equivalent ones which looks exactly the same..

But the material and cutting slightly diff.

BMW grips.. slightly softere.. thus dampen the vibes...

Has contours..... so when numbness starts.. u shift u grips further out or in to promote blood circulation..( when most of the time when touring )

FOr this bike is parallel twin so vibes not that bad...... still

its a worthy investment..

Wow, sounds good. So from what I see, it's a stick-on over existing grips or an entire new grip?

 

Yes, i have done BMW grips and riser for the NCX.. Have tired to rise the handle bars to 40mm.. and back to 30mm.. trying to get more comfy ride position..

Where did you get your riser and how much. I'm sure a handlebar riser will give me a more comfy ride due to short arms :)

The last time I had my horns and 12V socket installed, took 3hrs! Agree that wiring is simple but the process of taking out the side panel was time consuming as it was their first time touching a NCX. It was totally worthed the time as the mechanics were patient and wanted to connect the wiring professionally. Every connection is clamp with wire clips and connections to power supply traced to source either fuse box or connection sockets (forgive me for the electrical terms). Will surely go back to them to fix up FoglightHi if I decided to get one.

 

As what you mentioned the other time, I'm now thinking should I get the LED lights (take it as Day running lights) or halogen spot lights that can really illuminate the roads. Considering the former as power drawn will be very low and I don't really anticipate running much in the night during touring. DRL increases visibility to other vehicles while riding in the day. Hmm....

The bmw grips are replacement grips.. Its not amazing, but its nicer. I cant get use to other grips now cos i really like the thickness.

 

For the lights, y not get both? Lol. Im considering. Haha

fork guard is from yamaha FZ6 one think was around $10 per piece can get from auto-machinery

was touratech zega pro 31L, 38L wider than handle. At around 1.6k and was trying HB rack but cant fit after many adjustment and head cracking idea, T-case touching exhaust if level with seat, shift up too high up looks funny haiz .... unless re-do 80% of the rack to fit the case or change exhaust, Ends up decided to use back Xplorer and was refund by Chan also was thinking that to spend addition $ on modifty rack not worth it and might not as strong as original design...my 2 cents
