me lookin at same idea cause i have the cases for my beemer............

getting new bike next either on wed or thur...............

 

Yes touratech has all join welding and full alu, the + thing is tat the lip can be open on both side & the lock act as a hinge to open, also the corners are than added with impact protect plastic. But price is more ex than SW or hepco.

when I first purchase from chan was deciding between sw or hb, cos tour no rack yet for NC so u need to buy the frame then go sin kwang to do mounting. But in the end still choose touratech base on long term use but had to burn a big hole in pocket.

But since my bike is not ready so I am still on the look out from other countries and other bikes model if touratech can be use with other brand racks. Finger cross.

Description of defect:

 

Due to improper heat treatment of specific supplier drive chain’s outer plates with excess hardness were installed in the drive chains, leading to delayed fracture. It may cause the drive chain falls off.

 

 

 

Corrective actions and steps to be taken to rectify defect:

 

Add a tempering process to the heat treatment process of specific supplier driver chain’s outer plates to promote proper hardness.

 

All affected NC700 units to be bought to Honda dealership for inspection and replacement if necessary.

nope after measuring, it was too close to exhaust. Give up now using HB xplorer box.
