do you have a usual mechanic that you die-die go to? what the reason(s) that you return to him time after time?

i trusted my mechanic as i find him bloody honest. he has a habit of turning me away when i visit him for repair jobs. i will go to him and tell him i will wish to change this and that. he will check for me and will only change when it is really needed.

my last visit, i told him to change my brake pads and steering bearing. he checked my bike and told me that everything is still good and nothing need to be changed. in addition, he checked other parts like chain and sprocket as well. so end up going back without any job done:sian:

i have introduce friend to him and became regular. we do enjoy having conversation with him. nice and friendly chap. he run a one-man show in his small shop. sometime my friend and i wonder how can he surviveo_O

Ve been with Comebine Motors at Sim Min Auto*** (cant remember building name). Its a multi story building with alot of automobile shops cars, bikes, grooming, tires, etc. Ve went there for e past 7 years.

Usually 2 out of e 3 uncle will service my bike. Friendly and in my opinion honest. Likewise will advise wat might need to change but decision lies with me.

Price wise definitely not e cheapest but i keep going back becoz quite near and e worry free.

Skill wise also not bad and if they usually will do extra like always help me pump tire, adjust chain, lube chain without my asking. Small things also can ask for help no charge (becoz regular) like missing screws and top up scottoiler.

Previously had to go overseas 3 weeks and my bike park there they help me warm up + take care. ^^ no charge also.

Think most riders will ve their preferred shop and will stick to them. If recommend to others, no all will like also. Is up to individual preference.

i trust MJ @ Unique Toh Guan. Maybe cos he is such a honda fan? hahaha though either way, he and the rest of the guys there dont try to hard sell you stuff. im not sure if they provide the best prices though. very friendly place but at times need to wait for a while before its your turn as at time, peak hours can get really crowded.

Ah Chong or Ah Peng @ Planet. Very good! Have been doing my servicing since my Super 4 days... They're honest.

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:
