Hi guys, im a wanna be rider here. Basically i got problem whether do i need to have SPARK 135 0r FZ 16. I did went for a thorough inspect from East to west untill serangoon. Had my hectic day finding for a good price and here i list out what i have been told by the retailer...

1)spark 2nd hand - $ 4932 include theft and fire insurance, include new rider fees, road tax till December 2012, COE 7 and half year everything on the bike seems to be new.

2)spark 1st hand - $5000++ include theft and fire insurances too...

* both was given monthly payment $200 and below...

was told fz 16 is coming out with faring...so should i wait? btw i was told that fz 16 highest could reach 110km/hr or to proceed with spark 2nd or first hand? and my another question, normally for those who rode sparks. full tank cost you how much and monthly expenditure cost u how much? e.g distance from buangkok to pasir panjang every day...?

Thank you for your assistance...

Just to share. Some of e qn u ask can be easily found on e web. I dun ve e answer but if u need quick answers, google and wiki r my good frenz. Tell them i intro u de. :)

Full tank how much u can check e bike specs and x e fuel u wish to use 95/98 and u get e total.

How much per mth u can check specs on fuel consumption. then estimate how much dist u will travel and calculate 1 full tank how many km. Then estimate how many days before pump. And finally how much per mth. Everyone will give u a different answer since everyone travels different distance where as e specs is giving u e machines lab tested specifications sonis roughly around there.

As for how much for e locations u soecified, again u may not be able to get an answer, since it may be possible tat no one has traveled from ur location A to B. To get a distance u can try street directory. If u using smart phone, ur map app will be able to tell u.

For top spd again check e specs and e on paper top spd roughly minus 20 and tat should be roughly e correct answer. But y ask for top spd? Might u be thinking of reaching it? Since u say u r wanna be rider (i assume u mean soon to be), then u should take it easy rather then looking for which bike can go faster.

Lastly e bike price, i do not noe e market price of this 2 bikes. But if option 1 is ok tat means option 2 is fishy and vice versa. Option 1 coe left 7.5 yr meaning used 2.5 yr and only 500$ different? Weird? Im not really in a position to comment on tat though.

i asked a bike shop before for the price of FZ16. they quoted me 6,600 without insurance.

for spark, normally i will pump 3.7L or so after 175km @ a average speed of 100km/h on my speedometer. as for how much, you can do the maths according to the fuel price.

speaking of pumping petrol, this evening about 6pm i pump at SPC which the price of petrol for 92 is $2.05/L. after i make payment and came out to collect my bike, the price dropped to $1.99/L. it just a few mins different and i was :sian:

well, it have been awhile since i see the fuel price went below 2 dollars:thumb:

Look if you are intending to upgrade to class 2A after a year.

If you are, no point going for a new bike.

Spark is good for a first bike as it is relatively cheap and easy to maintain, downside is the small fuel tank.

My first bike was a spark too, rode for 3 years, nvr gave me much problems.

nope. there are 2 version of spark. one with and the other without hand clutch.

with hand clutch version is only kick start. without hand clutch is both kick start and electric start.

Spark rr is with clutch. Spark rx is clutchless. Fuel consumption.. Subjective to how heavy you are on the throttle

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.
