Wa, that means ur GSR 400 is very fast or the Ducati 696 is weak? Is your GSR 400 stock?

Sometimes its psychological barrier. If i am riding a more expensive bike, i tend to be more careful. Pretty sure 696 aint slow. Probably you are concern over the repair cost.

Actually my friend who's riding the 696 is screaming & cursing, and he's super regretting getting the bike cos according to him the bike is indeed slow and overrated.

well thanks for sharing ur friends view, i am riding ducati and i want some one who is riding or has ridden to share their experience. Don't just go with specs. I am not saying it doesn't reach high speed but i am saying i don't feel it as 700cc bike. I got it checked by Mnerva and they say the bike is in mint condition and also said thats how ducati 696 is designed. I am looking for some one who is also driving 696 to share their thoughts

My guess will be its because ducati is using two cylinders. I think a 400cc inline fours can produce abt the same hps as a 700cc v-twin but ur 696 shd be the torquey one.

But then again, ive havent ridden both bikes so its best to ask a fellow 696 rider as suggested. Peace dude!!

I have rode and tried the 695 before.

The bike pulls easily and is torquey, VERY easy to corner.

I can scrap the footpegs on almost every corner, big or small.

However, i know what you feel.

Rode a R6 and FZ600, the bike doesn't "feel" fast as compared to these bikes.

imho, this is because the "redline" is hit very soon, you can't drag it to the high rpm like your usual inline-4 bikes.

Once i was riding the bike with a pillion, when we got off the bike, he chided me.

He said i was going 80-90km/hr on the trunk road and cornering....but it didn't feel that way. I was concentrating , did not notice my actual speed until my pillion saw it and told me.

The bike is faster than you "feel" or think.

anyway, just to share, the ducati diavel is one crazy monster though.

from the moment you start to move off, the bike feels ready to rip your arms off anytime.

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

Caught the touring bug once again!

inline 4 will definitely win top end rush vs a twin. and the fact that there is not much displacement differences. but low and midrange should be sweeter for the monster. though honestly given the finance, and time i wont mind a monster haha
