Bike friendly GPS system

Can anyone recomend a good GPS system, I plan on doing some long trips this year and want a system that is relighable and easy to use etc.

 

Currently using my phone and it always fails. iCrap

Bro, get garmin zumo series.. its expensive, but design fully for motorcyling..

i simply got a water resistant pouch and use my car (garmin 255w) and mount onto bike's handlebar. works wonderfully

You can get one waterproof cigarette lighter socket and mount it on your bike handle bar, I bought mine from ebay. you can also get it in this forum from Simplybike price is almost the same.

 

I am using a waterproof pouch and using automotive garmin nuvi 1350

If u getting garmin zumo series, it will consists of 1 bike charger. U just need to attach the red wire to ur ignition or headlight fuse, then the black wire to the ground. If u using normal gps, u can install motorcycle waterproof cigarette socket. For me, I have both, so that I can charge gps n my hand phone on the same time

Can also get Hella/Powerlet/bmw plugs and sockets as an alternative to cigarette lighter size. They are smaller and holds up better to vibrations.

I'm using my iphone as a gps.

App is called "sygic" damn smart and user friendly.

Anticipate routes, distance,lanes and exit are shown it advance.

Best thing is, it doesn't require any roaming or Internet service to use it while navigating.

No issue on Malaysia routes as well. Been to several places like premium outlet, bukit indah, sutera, melaka with it

However is a paid app. Unless your phone is jailbreak then u can get it for free.

I am using sygic on my SGS3, its damm fast to locate the GPS, however the map update not as updated compare to Malsing or Malfree.

i meant exit rochor then go back ECP towards AYE..exit keppel then back to ECP towards rochor again. Twice in the afternoon and i did one more time again. Just reached home so total 3 times but cannot find...sigh
