ehh i know what u talking about cause i changed it b4.... alot of people dont really care about steering-cone bearings when they get 2nd hand bike.. which is very important as if is very dangerous to corner with a spoilt steering-cone bearings as your handle bar will be shaky or unstable...(in hokkien is buay-zhai)

err.. for that price i think u can go msia and change it 2x... and still got leftover.. msia. i did mine at msia.. was good and cost only about RM75 which is less then half of what u pay in SG.

normally chain and spocket prices includes the small one at the front which is some where near your gear-shifter there?(if thats what you mean)

infact i dont think they have tyres for rear or front one.. but one thing i know is that tyres DO have directions... which will be indicated on the tyre stating

*front----->* i have friends who have came across KUKUs mechs which installed tyres in the wrong directions which is very dangerous when you travel on wet roads esp during this rainy season as the tyres are designed in such a way that the markings if installed in the correct direction lets say >>>>>>>>> will be able to "so call" push the water away from the wheel and the road surface thus obtaining contact so as u will not go ski-ing on the road due to the lack of friction.

err... i to check the handle bar whether stright or not .. must not go at a too fast speed.. .. going like 20km-30km 0r evern slower if u can ... then let go of your handle bar to see whether your bike go stright for a certain distance like 10m?.. but of cus you must sit stright and also do it in a safe place.. eg: carpark(make sure no cars).. or yishun dam(when there isnt any crazy people racing or doing wheelies).

and...do it always with helmet on pls

That's where you're wrong..They have tyres for front and rear..I didn't realise it too..Till I saw it with my very own two eyes that there are some shops that carries the BT39SS not just front but the actual rear tyre..There is a slight difference..Only way to tell is to compare it next to each other..Its ok we all learn from mistakes..

About directions..I'm sure everyone knows that..Even bicycle tyres have that directional marking..

Is it a sin to reply again with my own answer? Guess it is.. Forgive me oh "Mr my fingers are faster and so I replied the question before you did"..No offence but apparently I prefer to answer/ask as much in a post as opposed to just pressing reply and making another post and another and another..I know its faster that way but I don't like having too much posts unlike you..But whatever floats your boat I'd say..

yes.. i understand the markings.. but on our tyre u can see for front use only which means that the arrow on the tyre should be facing front not not only use on the front wheel.. then how do you explain that some s4 are using the same tyres as ou rear tyre?? :giddy: maybe different model got front and rear bah ?

juz wondering..

any SP rider here who went for track day on 10th December 2006??

I saw a few during practise session but only one SP rider entered the 5 lap race.. I think it was a black & white SP with a modified pipe.

If those SP riders who were present on track day can PM me?

Thot of gathering SP riders for track sessions...

of cus.. smaller mar.. :thumb: :thumb: anyway enjoy ur new tyres and make sure u "run-in" the tyres.. about 3-4 oil tanks would clear the wax on them b4 doing your favourite u-know-what .

There is a way to by pass the 3-4 tank before u can play corner.

Recently i changed my rear tyre and the next day i went for track session already... How i managed to do dat? wana noe the secret??

instead of spending roughly $60++ to wait until the wax wear off.. spend mayb 500ml worth of petrol, wipe "gently" all over ur brand new tyre.

dun worry, petrol is not a lubricant. It will not make ur tyre more slippery. in fact it will make the wax go away..

dun ask me why but it was an advise i took which worked really well..

wah i damn sad man no one replied to my previous post...

anyway agl this weekend anyone ?

guys, the fact that my bike vibrates violently when i down shift to gear1 really bugs me. is it just the chain i should get adjusted ? cause i finally realised that the vibrations were coming from the chain or chain area. the other gears no problem only when gearing down to gear 1 then got vibrations.

pls help my poor soul

U're talking abt this post??

check ur tyre alignment & chain alignment, check whether chain loose or not? lubricate already? check tyre pressure? maybe need heavier bar ends? try installing damper? checked steering cone? or mayb ur tyre bearings?

if all else fails...

change bike lor...

bt39f-ss is bt39ss for front tyre use.

bt39r-ss is bt39ss for rear tyre use,

smallest rear bt39ss that bridgestone makes is 120/80.

anything smaller than that, ie. 120/70, 110/70, 90/80, 60/100, etc is front use tyre installed on rear.

think this should clarify everyone's doubts.
