eh my bike has got some funny sound when im on 4-5 rpm at any gear except maybe neutral. got some "bop bop bop sound" then when i rev up to 6 the sound is gone. i ask the mech at hua chin he say thai sp is liddat. really meh?

You forgot to include check alignment..Ahaha..

i go vicom wat they check is

1. exhaust smoke. mine alot of smoke i just say yesterday go malaysia so i add 2t in the tank scared piston jam.

2. check signal light make sure they blink.

3. horn as long got sound can liao. cos vesap sound oso not loud wat. electric magnetic horns oso pass de.

4. brake lights. make sure front and foot lever depress got bright up.

5. check head lights and high beam. no Hid hor.

6. check tyre width or something

7. test brake both front and rear on something like a dyno

 

So i guess the check alignment is no 6 i suppose so wats dat for anywae..??..

for your own safety when u doing corners or high speed. Allignment is wrong n the bike will lose control/traction.

i guess u guys are talking bout the clutch housing/plates. But mine is only neutral n staionary then can hear the sound. when on the move cant hear.

You askin me check alignment is for what? If you are then its to ensure that your bars and frame/fork are in proper correspondence..So when your bars are straight your bike will go straight instead of veering to the left or right..So when you corner you won't have that weird/funny feeling..Or else later very easy buang..Everytime you buang must go check your alignment straight or not..Coz the impact can move it to get it out of alignment..

hey, can anyone pls advise

1) where to get a 1st hand SP/RR?

2) 2nd hand SP Price (best price shop)

3) how much it cost for re-paint work on SP/RR?

If there's a chance, i will give my dream gal a ride to anywhere she like~

yalo... when i ask bike shop they told me its the clutch housing or clutch plates. But yours opposite then i donno liao. For my case, theres no need to do anything bout it. Unless u are loaded then go change the housing lo. ard 250SGD As for the plates, frens change them at AGL at 70RM IF i didnt remember wrongly.

1) no more new sp

 

2) depending on plate , shop will nv have u the best price

 

3)depends single colour or wat design u want. price varies. plz do a search!

theres no more 1st hand SP already but theres still 1st hand RR.

 

U can try look for them at those bikeshops near 219.

yah ours is from thai. since mech also say its like this 1 then ok lo... u rich then go change the housing. but i guess no need to change one la. lol

hey there everyone...i just got my sp recently like about a week or so.. and i noticed that got some minor problems...

 

1) when i want to turn left or right, can feel that the handlebar will just lean a little more.. maybe the handlebar isnt straight??? heard can align the thing rite??? would it cost much or is it free

 

2) when i start the bike.. can see that there is quite a lot of white smoke coming out...??even after engine warm up alreadi also got white smoke.. is it coz of my 2T?? got any good recommendations for good quality 2T??

 

 

3) i also have the knocking sound when i reach like between 4k to 5k rpm..but

Well i ve got a 2 months warranty from the bike shop... is it possible to tell them change the clutch housing all for me??

 

yup lastly i ve realli got a problem with kick starting the bike in the morning... i ll be dead tired by the time the bike starts.. maybe i ve got a wrong technique of kick starting...anybody got a good way of kick starting the bike?? must use lots of strenght as well ah?? or is it plainly on technique?? well i hope u guys would be able to help me out.. m a new biker here.. hope to learn new things from the experienced ones.. :)

maybe a full service n change of spark plug will help, even in cold engine my bike starts usu in one kick if first fail pull choke kick again , sure start... well 2t , most of us are using penzzoil marine from JB($21RM), in SG can try motul 710(around $20) (castrol R2(around $13,$14)) esso gold($13)

 

for 2) maybe ur 2t intake too high le

1) Do u mean the bike leaned left/right whenever it turns left/right?

If yes, c0z its a racing bike, seldom u see ppl turn without leaning with the whole bike, unless for junctions...

If you meant tat the alignment is out, u can go check out @ a bikeshop u trust near u to check out the alignment.. i believe its free...

 

2) There's a lot of 2Ts in the market.. try not to get cheap ones..

maybe can esso 2t gold.. good maxima 2ts.. Tat may reduce ur smoke..

Another thing is maybe ur pipe is modded.. Check for a screw n nut below ur pipe ard the end(at the chrome area), if there is, its a modded pipe.. Normally modded pipes produces more smoke..

If u wan to play safe, u can ask them to clean the exhaust for u (include in when u go servicing).. And every morning when u start bike, warm up for 5 mins b4 u go.

=) that will be ard the best warm up time for ur bike to be in shape.

 

3) About the knocking sound, its normal for every SP... U can check with a 2nd mech if u r still afraid. Normally they dun change for u under warranty, bt get it tightened up.. ( the clutch plates/housing) if its loose. - Normally they dun change c0z its ex... haaha

 

4) Regarding starting ur bike.. most imptly is u have to maintain it well after servicing...

1stly, Check if the mech to see if ur batt's weak or well-charged, n tat its using batt water to top up or its auto charged thru engine....

2ndly, if ur previous owner didnt maintained it well, u might have to use the choke to do a cold start.. Step 1 - Pull choke, kick start for ard 4-5 times (engine off mode)... Step 2 - push choke back in.. n kick start a few times... Step 3 - Turn on ur engine n kick start ...

If cant, turn off engine n kick start a few times b4 u turn on to start...

n repeat the process...

3rdly, replace ur spark plug ( maybe its time for a new n good one... for every 5000km.)

Suck it n ride!

pennzoil? woah... scared. kanna piton jammed tat time. Using silkolene 2t. 18bucks. everything goes smoothly.

 

PS, piston jammed, quicjly pulled in clutch. If pulled in rear tyre still lock... then u can jus pray hard! :goodluck:
