congrats to him for making his trip up to thailand with his sp!

 

so sp / rvf riders must go. as i believe wait for me can share alot of experience during the trip with u all and most of you know who is orange and will miss orange v much!

Riding jacket with CE armour or basically to keep u from the cold??

 

If riding jacket, there's mash kind which is water resistant or another would be waterproof, suggest u getting a mesh kind for using in SG..Can try Rjays..Comes with CD armour for shoulder and elbow, back would be hard foam..

 

Boots is actually ok, i wear my track boots for riding on weekends..Just a matter of getting use to it..

yea.. i spotted u there, den come home poasted in the other thread asking u if u were there.. u rode ride past me, i looked rite into ur face, u cannot remember?!?!? got 3 of us standing there.. 1 rvf, 1 sp...i shouted CANDY but u nvr respond :X

 

cos he got sch den by the time he come fetch me very late le. so i go take cab tinking that the fare will be like last time ard $13 only but who knows shot up to $20 le.

Does anyone uses a racing carburettor rather than the stock sp?What pilot jetting and main jetting size to use?If so,is it good to use K&N filter on it?Plus,the airbox must drill some holes at which position?Does smaller sprocket size helps to go more for distance?Which racing cdi is ideal for sp?Chamber pipe requires a smaller endcan to go further?About porting,does it decrease your engine life and makes it spoil easily in a few months?Which premix should I use for 2t wen ported?

Well, when u ride at nite on e road is always good to have more protection. Get used to it and cultivate the good habit of protecting urself.

Wearing a riding jacket with ce armour is quite normal on the road and it is irregardless of wat bike ur riding.

Yes, a number of ppl do. Some swear by 32 mm, most use 34 mm **points to 759** and some are so extreme that they use 36 or 38 mm ...

 

Does smaller sprocket size helps to go more for distance?

Smaller front sprocket + Bigger rear sprocket = Better pick-up

Bigger front sprocket + Smaller rear sprocket = Better top-end

 

It's up to u ... For me I use somewhere in between ...

 

Which racing cdi is ideal for sp?

Some use the HRC CDI, but there's oso the Tyga Performance Racing CDI http://www.bcomponents.com.au/products/display_item.asp?DID=91&CID=110&PID=5911

 

Nowadays it can be quite hard to find such racing CDI locally ... The effect of a racing CDI is to remove the power cut at ard 12Krpm, and to optimise the spark plug firing timing (delay reduction) ... Beware though, u could damage ur engine if u over-rev ...

 

Chamber pipe requires a smaller endcan to go further?

Prepare $750 for the gah'men ... Gd luck when u spot White Ants on the road ...

 

About porting,does it decrease your engine life and makes it spoil easily in a few months?

I dunno ... But if u rly want performance, ask urself - are u willing to pay for higher preventive/corrective maintenance costs? Have u considered safety mods (e.g. good brake pads, steel brake hose) before attempting performance mods?

 

Also, are u going to fully utilise that long-wanted "extreme" performance ... If u use it juz once in a while, it may not be worth the high maintenance costs and FC ...

Get 1 with CE armour, although heavier but it offers better protection..Go for mesh too as it's more cooling for use locally..

CE is actually a certification standard in Europe..Like helmets you have Snell M2000, Dot etc etc..

 

So CE is tested to a standard..Most jacket will come with CE certified protection..Shops like Motoworld, Regina carries this jacket..
