Riding in open road and during lessons is much much different. Open road, some drivers hack care abt you, see u also cut in, u horn they bo chup. Get use to yr bike power, braking distance, feel the throttle well, the riding posture all that is impt, cuz when danger comes, it's your skills and instinct which help avoid an accident.

 

Try not to try filter for now, not to go beyond speed limit, and explore here n there abit so you at least will roughly know how to get around.

did you use the choke?

 

for me, i would usually switch the ignition on but keep the engine switch in it's off position. kickstart twice to circulate the oil before switching on your engine. kickstart once but do not hold the throttle open. if it doesn't start, open the choke and kickstart again. shut the choke and leave on idling for at least 1 minute before moving off slowly.

1.) If u hard to kick start then u pull u choke at u left fairing side then kick u starter but don try to open throtte, if don petrol will jam u carburatar. U oso change u new plug better, some time the plug too old oso hard to kick start. I use NGK plug, $4 buy at HKL. Just pull throtte at the morning for 1st start only, after no need. Every tm only kick 1 or 2 tm only...

 

2.) Very noise on where? Pipe? Engine? If engine i think is piston ring lose & some other parts lose in u engine. Some tm u engine oil too old oso can make u engine very noise. Suggestion: Try to look out is piston ring or engine oil problem. If piston ring, try do full service chage piston ring & fix other parts tigh tigh 1st. After that suggest u use Maxima gear oil, is very gd for engine. When u use it u can feel the different & the sound very very soft. $28 per bottle, buy at alexandra Race werkz.

 

3.) Hmn... Maybe is setting problem. But must see the vibrate strong anot, 105km/h got abit vibrate is normal loh.

 

If free u can join our outing, some times jt ask here we oso very hard to explain. Some more we nvr see u bike oso cannot confirm is wat problem. Hehe... :cheeky:

Hmn... Agree. Warm up is very important for u bike. Every morning i oso start my bike 1st, then take a cigratte, 'fa tai', 'wa pi shi' & see chai beside the road after that jt move out. I giv my warm up timing 3-5min every tm... :cheeky:

When u switch to a K&N air filter, of cos more particle will enter the carbs as the material is design to let more air pass thru..

Ya, of course u remove airbox the dust will go in. Even u change to K&N filter oso got same problem. Best way is use orginal airbox, original airbox protection more gd. I jt remore airbox connector only, the sound oso orr... orr... orr...

sianz.. today got ppl go disturb my bike again. pull my choke, fuel put off, kill switch put off. lucky i check le then ride. if not ride half way engine die..

i also veri dulan..always bike nv touch for long then cannot cold start...i even worse..i try kick start for 15-20mins until i sweating like siao liao still cannot....in the end i take bus :weep:

Haha... So jialat ah, then u must try pull u choke & start again. If don u must try to change u spark plug... :sweat:

Don't know from where, tomorrow i'll send it to bike shop, to check the piston ring. see how...

btw. what is Maxima gear oil? is it 2T ?

i think it varies for different bikes.. not all accurate.. best way to see thing is to switch 'on' your fuel, wait until the bike loses power and starts jerking a lil bit.. before switching to reserve.. remember what position of the fuel gauge is at and what mileage when this happens.. next time u'll aga know when to switch to reserve loh..

 

when i had my old sp i switched on reserve when the needle goes into the red zone.. usually pumped petrol then hehe.. didnt want to be stranded halfway.. usually its at 8litres or so at that point.. but thats for my bike :/

erm... i mean i switch to Off position & ride for 60km... anyway thanx for ur reply..
