hairline cracks on front tire?

not on the sidewall but in between treads....im not sure how much mileage the tire has since i bought the bike 2nd hand but its manufactured in 2009 12th week...

 

should i get it replaced? or is it still useable?

Check the year of manufacture on the side of the tire.

And it is always good to replace the tires after buying a 2nd hand bike.

bought a bike. tyres look damn new (with the feelers still on)

Tyre crack lines is an obvious sign of rubber degeneration.

It's hard to judge how bad it is, as it is either a cosmetic damage due to weather exposure or could be much more serious than that.

 

When your life is depending on that 2 small patch of rubber contact, it's common sense to replace it.

Best to change them. 3 years is a tires lifespan, after that the rubber disintegrates.

Mine is also 2009, but no cracks yet because I cover the bike to prevent sunlight from reaching the tire. Even so I can feel that the tires is not as good as when I first bought them, so I go very very slow around corners. I will be changing them soon too.
