Hi Mark..

 

I have just bought a runner ST200 and I am currently monitoring my FC..

 

Usually I ride till the fuel warning light comes up (3 bars on the fuel gauge) and it comes up to abt 180-190km.. I tried riding till my reserve is almost finished (no bars on the fuel gauge) and it comes up to abt 210km..

 

is this normal? or shld i get my bike checked?

this is pretty normal if you are running on a direct open port filter! If no modifications are done to your runner, you might want to check the tire pressure of the bike and check if you have serviced the carburetor.

Hi

 

i would appreciate if you could assist my problem

 

1) My bike only managed to go to 130km for full tank till the needle drop at the empty sign, i have not try for maximum mileage but by the look of it , it wont go far and what is the average fc for gilera vxr 200 ?

 

2) Every time i fill up my fuel once it reaches 8 litre and above i noticed a lot of fuel started to drip underneath my bike

 

Is there something wrong with my bike or is it normal for an old bike, mine is a 10 years old bike.

hey Qusthos, may understand the frustrations you encounter with your bike. As the mileage is little with 8 liters of petrol... what i could suggest for you is to have the carburetor check if there is any leakages or signs of clogging. The fuel which is dripping underneath the bike is most probably coming from the overflow tube of the carburetor... this means that you have over fill your petrol and beyond the limit of the recommended amount. Give me a buzz and i shall assist you soon... thanks

I just love the looks, feel and sound of an old good Guzzi, though it has been around since the time of my Grandfather. I guess "they" don't do things like that anymore! Well it's not true.

Dear Mark, I will like to know what are the legal exhausts available for scooters (

My understanding is only Gilera Runner has legal pipe.

 

Yes there are choices of the SBK, Malossi and Akrapovic exhaust for Singapore market!

Hi mark,I just got a st 200 but my bike only start to move after 3.5k rpm is it normal?

 

Hey there, yes it's normal depending on the clutch and vartiator setting... may you like to bring down to the shop so i can have a check for you? :D

yes you need a switch of jetting so to tune the fuel and air ratio appropriately! after that you can have more options to make upgrades on the transmission which can significantly improve the pick up and top speed of the bike

Hey Mark, will like to ask if you know. When I start Engine, I get this screeching sound from the left side of my bike. (Probably from the belt.) But I shake the bike and restart, it's gone. What problem, and how much to fix that?
