I think the fuel consumption is due to how heavy the person is and the riding style> What you can do here is try to install device that can help you to save loh. I got my Revtec save petrol up to 20 km. Haven't install grounding yet. Heard will be good if install grounding cause my is a spec 2.

1) mudman CB400 Spec II 21km/litre -> think it's time to clear my air filter liaoz lah ...haa

2) Amano CB400 Spec 3- only 23km/litre(Best ever hit 24.5km/litre with stock condition) -- Cannot improve further liao even with Revtec also no diff in consumption. Hai....

5) khookahkiat CB400 Spec III Bold'Or => fuel consumption like f***! hit abt 260 before reserve flashes... must be my half fairing very heavy... hahaha

some say start blinkin fom the left already reserve,some say blinkin from both ends is reserve..just 1 2 clarify..

but heng la push 1 km plus... got petrol station liaoz...

 

that time wanna go visit my ex-colleagues at science park 2... then come out from aye clementi, go up the slow filter left can feel no petrol liaoz... die die chiong all the way... den down slope... until the place where they sell roti prata and nasi lemak there engine die.... den push all the way to science park 2 nearby to pump lor... haha...

 

reserve for vtec 1 is by luck... for indicator only go 1 direction...

 

spec and above is to indicate in reserve...

 

correct me if im wrong

30) Gaofar, VTEC Spec III Bol'Dor - 290Km before hit reserve. Works out to about 19.3 Km per Litre. Using SPC 95. Average speed for my bike is about 100Km/hr. Installed Broquet Fuel Pellets and Revtec...

Yes I second that.

 

Reserve the blinking will only go in one direction. Blinking in two directions mean that the connection of the fuel gauge to your tank either something wrong or not connected at all.

 

And those that ran out of petrol in the first stage after hitting reserve, you can try letting the bike cool down a bit maybe say 5 to 10 min. Then try crank start it again but try not to whack the throttle too much.

 

I do not know the technical explanation of the above phenomenon, but have experienced it not only with my bike but others' as well.

 

So while you are riding along expressway and suddenly bike lose power, engine idling going low and eventually die, you start to panic and crank it immediately but failed. If you are certain this is due to empty tank, you can try waiting 5 to 10 min for the bike to cool down a bit. Then try start it again.

 

This will save you from pushing your bike tiringly to the next petrol kiosk. Hope this could help you next time you are stranded with an empty tank. But of course dun risk it lah. Fill it up when the time comes not when it becomes empty.. :goodluck:

I am just stating matter of factly here... So no offence... :sweat:

 

When I collect my new VTEC III Bol'Dor, it has only about less than a litre of petrol in it. The indicator that time shows a

 

Also previously on my VTEC I when I was riding towards KL in Malaysia, I kenna ran out of petrol cause I sort of miscalculated thinking that I'll hit the next petrol station in time... But that's side-story... Main thing is at that time when my bike went "kaput" out of petrol, the indicator also shows
