was told by previous owner that the bike just tune and wash of carb........and think my chain and sprocket should need to change on another two more servicing.....air presure already check.....

 

Heard grounding will help.....is it true to everyone??

1)mudman CB400 Spec II 21km/litre -> think it's time to clear my air filter liaoz lah ...haa

2) Amano CB400 Spec 3- only 23km/litre(Best ever hit 24.5km/litre with stock condition) -- Cannot improve further liao even with Revtec also no diff in consumption. Hai....

3) CrossOver CB400 Spec I => Dun know how you all calculate the km/litre but mine hit reserve at 260km ..

4) stkoh78 CB400 II ~21km/litre => traveled ard 355km before pumping full tank.

5) khookahkiat CB400 Spec III Bold'Or => fuel consumption like f***! hit abt 260 before reserve flashes... must be my half fairing very heavy... hahaha

6) NoobVtec2 CB400 Spec II => 19.5-20km/litre No matter how hard i try,still can't improve. Total Mileage 60000km.

7) aH_gUAn CB400 Spec II = > 18 km/litre. Use to be better but getting worse.

8) ah_tat1 CB400 Spec I = ard 22-23 km/litre wif frequent pillion using Shell95

9) vtec_craze CB400 Spec II = 23-24 km/litre. best was 25km/litre. try vpower. it really gives betta mileage.

10) Manzz Spec 2 FV plate --> 18km/l best was 20km/l and that was just once..

11) the monopoly man --- 22km/l untill 370km than pump vpower scare to go further lol (tech 3)

12)ragingpistons specII--->19.5km/l used to be worst but is getting better

13)xiaogui-Spec1 260-280km full tank before reserve.did servicing and grounding but no diff, anyone can help ? eat a lot petrol

14)PaLmEr Spec III 10-12KM/L

15)]Roger{ SpecII- 21.5km/l (with YOSHIMURA TRI-OVAL FULL SYSTEM) Being proud

16)Hondaman Version S 19.5km/l total is 350km with reserve I think.

17) megayon, SPEC II---> 23km/L... using Caltex Silver...

18) sabbaha, spec3 (total mileage 370km wif reserve) Used 98 esso, presently mobil F1 JB-

19 ad1da5 Spec I = 24-25km/L with JB VPower (increased slightly after installing Power Abuser and grounding. Previously was 22-23km/L)

20) danieltanboonhuat = 19.0km/l with esso 98. likes to be first off the red light. opens vtec once or twice a day

21) Fabian Version S FR plate --> 21-25m/l.Depends on riding mood. Just so happened to be the most alert in the changing of traffic light..

22) s4vtec Spec 1 - 350km including reserve. about 19.5km/ltr

23)akirajo Ver s-23~25km/L, not using reserve tank. Mobil F1

24) bobo_rider Spec1 19-21km/l... hit reserve ard 310km... trying not to use vtec too often.

30) Gaofar, VTEC Spec III Bol'Dor - 290Km before hit reserve. Works out to about 19.3 Km per Litre. Using SPC 95. Average speed for my bike is about 100Km/hr. Installed Broquet Fuel Pellets and Revtec...

31) wewewe, Vtec Spec 3 - 330 then start blinking, so 330/15 = 22Km/L

32) Jarrett,Ver-S -JB V-power,345-360km b4 hit reserve...MICRON exhaust & Revtec!!! last time wif stock exhaust can hit 380km b4 reserve...But nw i nv regret too!!!

33) [c]arbine, spec 2, 22km/litre...so far tried shell v-power,98,95...mileage almost e ame

34) Anthen, CB400 Spec II, around 22km/l using JB VPower so far.. 345km before reserve.. Just went JB and pump 16.27L.. stock bike with only 3 points grounding

35) Spec3FBA / CB400 Spec3 / 360km before reserve / 98 or V-power no diffrence to me / without & after install 3pt grounding no diffrence to me / ocassionally open vtec

36) tt6389 Vtec Spec III Bol'dor. 260km before reserve. But normally top up petrol on side stand only - can go further if use main stand but afraid of overflow when parking on side stand . Previously only 17km per liter. After using 7pt grounding, NGK Iridium plugs & KNN filter - now 19km per liter & better pickup. Normally use Mobil 95.

37) Sahabudeen, Ver-s. my bike gives me up to 21-22 KM/L. 5point grounding, using Mobil F1 ( JB).... Need to pump air my tyer every week

38) sianzzz, spec1. ave 20.5/litre using mobil F1

39) , Hyper Vtec 1 (with aftermarket exhaust full system). 320km - 330km = 21.5km/L - 22km/L before reserve.

40) skateboy: vtec1. 21 - 23km/l using caltex silver. with 3 pt grounding n revtec.

41) jamesgoh13 : New Spec 3 owner, currently 21km/l wif SPC 98. Nw trying out Shell 98. Still in running in condition,nv open vtec oways remain 80-90km/h. (Will update again).

42) munsation: Version S, abt 300km before hitting reserve. (Pipe was modified before) Using Caltex Gold (98).

43) Episode2: Version S , 22km-23km/l (all stock except K&N filter)Ride not more den 100km/h on xpressway.Seldom rev till 6rpm for start off.Pump Caltex Gold.

i heard from some of u that ur bike full tank can got till ur digital meter reach 300+... mine only 210 low fuel liao... wats happening???

There's no reserve switch.... Its switches to reserve automatically..... dats when the fuel indicator bars r running....

210kms for a full tank is pretty low bro..

 

Even if I whack my VTEC very often, I still get about 260kms at least before hitting the reserve..

 

Better get a mech to check it out..

bro..when topping up ur tank...do u pump till its MAX??Try to wait a while to let the petrol settle down inside and pump somemore...it will helps....For me when click and till brim..i will still keep pumping in and wait and pump and wait..it can squeeze in at least 1 or 2litres sometime...

 

if urs are a new bike...there shouldnt be a so low mileage for a full tank..if still persists....check ur plugs / airFilter and riding style...

do shake slowly left and right too...sometime when we pump in that time...a full rush of petrol actually went in with some air bubbles...so its like will have spare space inside our tank...for the BEST RESULT...pump till BRIM..and wait slowly and pump slowly...till cannot goes in...close it..pay it..ride to a corner and wait for a ciggy time...den push back and pump a bit more......kekekkekekeke..

hey bro... u got the cannot up speed prob rite?? if dirty EO, over used spark plug, dirty air filter n incorrect carb setting, can contribute to ur high fuel consumption. other factors like insufficient tire air pressure, worn chain n sprocket, or insufficient chain lubrication will also give u high consumption...

 

do bit by bit bro... its siong to do all of them together...

yup...above stated are true also...so every single small factor or thing also need to consider will cause u high FC..even low low tyre pressure too.. cheersss

bro, thnk u shd really send in u bike to ur mechanic to service up....think u shd start with changin air filter n spark plug...then slowly move on to the rest ...

update us on ur progress...even if you whack vtec for 200km, also wun hit reserve yet...

mine top around 300 click if i ride smoothly... no dragging and keep 80 - 90 on the highway..... but normally i always whack around... so get hit reserve around 200 click....

top up the petrol in ur tank till brim and squeeze in a bit more and more AND MORE!!! try it out first even u open ur vtec often...if still cannot sustain 270km or more den kanna reserve..den go for ur airfilter and plugs...step by step u will see liao...no worries..be happy
