its normal to feel this way. anyway, 1 or 2 bar still 230km still ok ma. shd use till it starts blinking even when stationary for awhile already. den see how much is b4 reserve. mine also about 200 210++ when left 2 bar.

hey guys, heard from my fren tat for vtec model, when the fuel is in reserve the bars flashes towards the center instead of from left to right. when flashin from left to right actually the tank is still left with around 1 bar. is it true?

Flash from the centre = spoil liao... (Unable to get readings from the sensor)

 

It should be a running flash from right to left.

yah probably put greenoil next.. as we discussed the other time, when engine is smooth, pple tend to be throttle happy.. i think i too throttle happy already.. haha..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

My Spec 2 before reserve can travel 330km. Very accurate every time. Pump around 14L++

so loyjwe, normally reserve start onli if it is stationary for a while and the meter run from left to right, am i correct? anyway to make the F.C better? cos im riding rather slow nowadays to keep my F.C as high as possible. e.g nv throttle much when moving off, onli travel about 85km/hr, totally nv on vtec....that kind of thing. So, its best if something could be done and some recommended shop to do.

dunno ley. mi everyday on vtec 80% of my journey coz go out my hse TPE till ECP exit east coast to work. highway all on vtec. getting 20-22km/l still. so for mi i think is tyre pressure, chain slack, carb tunning, whether change any after market products anot lor. just IMO.

Generally best at 250 front/back 290

Up Malaysia long distance 230 front/back 270

 

All above +/- 5 base on total load on bike from 60kg to 150 kg.

i do not know much abt the science of engines etc.... but i do know that the fuel consumption on my version s improves after i put in 2 pairs of it into my fuel tank.... everthing being the same, my fuel consumption improves from abt 20km/l to 24km/l now, after using it for half a year...

hey guys.. im riding a spec 3 wif LV endcan.. my fc is only 250km b4 reserve.. isiit normal?? full tank cud go onli till 300km.. tested coz bike brokedown when it hit 300km.. hehe..

Your bike is a victim of heat and friction. Till tank empty should be around 380km or slightly better...need liquid engineering and grounding.

same situation but yours better as your exhaust is not stock unlike mine..

ride safe today,ride again tomorrow

pek. both liquid engineering and grounding does not really aid on my FC, any other alternatives? :sian:

Check my old post lah..so much to type..everytime repeat I oso want to die liao. If can't find, do visit the non vtec forum..may be can find answer or come one of this weekend morning coffee talk shop session. In the meantime, just take it that "heat" is power robbing and "friction" is 'braking' motion.

Just installed this fuel saving catalyst called blackstone nanoball, heard tat it can improve fc by 10%... Hope it will really improve the fc from my next top up... Current fc for my spec2 is 20km/l...

guess no use one no matter wat u did...the problem is unsolvable.just live with it and don't spend any more money on things that claimed that can improve FC..:sian:
