i riding specI, full tank pump till brim can reach 340 before reserve. this is the best i can get so far. always ride at 100km/hour at expressway and seldom open vtec.

any bro got this problem b4, i'm riding a spec III when i pump full tank, i always see mine 6 bar will drop to 5 bar,without even riding the bike yet. i dunno y, fuel gauage sensor spoilt is it ?

 

have this problem too.. but din really bother to tink bout it.. hahaha

im just wondering,yesterday i pump petronas,full tank was 19.4 litres..i was so surprise,as my tank tink ard 18 litres..somthing wrong,maybe the pump prob??

 

hey mikey..how come ur back riding a s4?...anyways thats good u reach 19.4 litres...my biggest filling is 19.6litres...u almost beat my personal record bro.....im not too sure for side stand but i usually achieve this on my main stand....cheers....

Just to share with everyone, used the broquet nanoball recently n the FC increased by 20-30km. I calculated my FC total, 325km for 18.5l of petrol. Still hv a bit more fuel but decided nt to take the risk. Initially it was just 300km, so the broquet product is gd. Btw i usually ride with speed of 120km/hr

hey..why my spec 1 fuel consumption very bad. 240+ 250+ hit reserve already. standard pipe. since i get the bike from the shop, i nvr do anyting to my bike. i thought can reach 300+ then hit reserve. can anyone clear out my doubts? thx alot~

mayb u can put wat servicing u hav done b4 to solve the fc prob.. so tt others can advise u wat to do..

 

common things like dirty air filter, not enough tyre pressure, carb out of tune??

haha muz, fuad here. my spec 2 also f/c quite bad. cos vtec open early and using aftermarket pipe. ard 17-19km/l.

i am quite surprised some Spec 1 fc is 300+. Mine spec1 is only 220-260 at most. I doubt I ever hit 360 if I top my tank until the petrol almost flowing out before hitting reserved!! These days I pump $20 spc95 and only 250 most. I seldom whack the bike. Has a box behind and only make a trip to Tampines once a week. I am the sole owner and the fc is almost the same since I bought at. I was surprised one colleague told me his friend vtec fc 400 so its a good bike to have. I nearly fainted after checking here. I do normal oe and no mods. Zzz. Any bro tried to pump $20 of 95 petrol and you lasts to 300km?

hmm. well bro, i believe that S$20 of 95' petrol is almost full tank, (provided ur fuel at that point of time is already super duper reserved) By far my full tank can last me about 330km. (i'm riding Spec 3 with micron endcan)

with regards to ur ride's fuel consumption, what i can say is very high. mayb the tubings? or mayb the injectors? (this one all i just agar2)

 

can any experience bro advise? because i do have a friend riding a spec 2 all oem products having the same prob too. Thanks.

When is the last time u service ur bike? Maybe carbs dirty....

it also depends on your riding style, normal road/expressway, chain slack, tyre pressure etc.

$20 is not super duper reserved. Like that you said "almost full tank" but I will nvr hit over 270 with the $20 95 fuel.

I nvr change all the mentioned above

I dun ride like drag racing. When I was on my way back, I realised I nvr go over 6000rpm while changing gear and I tried to see what is my normal speed on highway or fast riding. I seldom go pass 7000rpm lor.

I change OE myself. ABout 6mths ago. Did carbs about 9 mths ago but I think before and after carbs cleanning and tunning the same. so I thought its normal.

 

I changed to K&N air filter 3 years ago. I nvr do those jettings mobs.

My ver s almost same as ur bike comsumption , jsut a bit better at 19km/L

3.5~4.5rpm change , normal throttling , no full throttle at all, 80% short dis trip ,20% expressway.Max spd 90km, Stock bike somemore .

eo, spark plug just change , tyre press 230 /250 .

PS : uses only shell 98 .

last time my working place only 4 traffic light away from my home and no highway. I just changed OE last saturday and will change spark plugs this weekend. Will observe further. Thank you all.

Hi guys...

Have been monitorig for 2 full tanks with my BlueFlame on and no other mods. Ride normally seldom open Vtec. Expressways ard 100-110km/h no Vtec. Fuel Consumption I can stil hit ~350-360km before reserve. Which means I'm clocking abt 23km/l.

Stil not so bad after all. Was afraid after change end-can my FC might go up. Keep on the monitoring of FC guys. FC will tell you whether your bike is operating normally or not.

In general i realize fuel consumption is too random, due to the variety of factor . u cant get a accurate guage, just a rough one. So take and give. But in general if ur s4 can hit 21km+ - per litre its consider normal.

Alternatively u can test it under controlled environment. Really empty ur tank, pump in lets say 2 L, go at a certain spd till it nearly empty .

yup.. many factors affect fuel consumption.. eg, load of your bike, chain, how hard you ride etc..
