Bro. Try Petronas 98. Got ard 25km/l for my spec 1.

My spec 1 is unable to take Malaysia's ron 95. It will stall during idling,stopping at slope or evening stopping to park in carpark.

 

However, it runs fine using 97..

 

Anyway I can fix it other than using octane booster?

Hmmm. You can try to do carbs balancing and tuning of carburetor..

i did it already.. the problem still existed... it only goes away after i pumped 97...

Yah! I only got that type of mileage on my previous Version S.

My vtec 3 can go for around 350km before the meter start flashing. Usually riding at 90km/h on the expressways most of the time. If ride at 75km/h can last around 400km before the meter flash. Is that considered good?

Around 4 and half years old, using k&n air filter, SS 4-1 headers, yoshimura titanium blue end can. EO is some OWS 800 from Unique(it's **** according to my friend). Tyres is Pilot Power 2 I think. But I just got the bike around 2 months ago so I change quite a lot of things to new. I am pretty sure the sprockets and engine are untouched though.

Aftermarket headers, air filter and exhaust and you still get 400km? Wow. Did you use fuel additives or something?

Think it has something to do with the fact that more than 95% of the time I am on the express way, and I don't rev very high before I change to higher gear.

Did you do carb servicing, clear exhaust or something like that? My bike is around the same age as yours and the FC is nowhere near. I decided to just ride but it's interesting to know how you get good FC. On and off maybe can try stuff on my bike to see if it helps FC. Anyway off topic a bit, the other day I switch on engine got this loud "POP" sound i think come from exhaust. After that no more already. Not sure what's that sound. Anyone kena before?

I service and balanced my carbs last month. Changed two of the jets too due to my headers. Otherwise didn't do anything drastic. No fuel or oil addictives

Hi bros, i have a huge problem. I recently did my carb servicing and balancing at a motor tiam. My fuel consumption use to be 300+km for full tank of abt 17.5L. But aft doing the carb, my spec2 last only 230km. Whats the cause? I use caltex 95 techron.
