E brake i not sure haha i was told by my instructors that incorrect posture are marked based on how your upper body is ( not hunched forward) have to be up right straight and elbows almost straightened out all the way. And they told me that E brake if right foot drop is a fail no matter what if taking 8.01 they will say "i give you chance don't want hold you back just go do more RC and practice more".😭 That's why those who dropped right foot for E brake during TP came in and just say "I fail already" 😂

I got hit by a car while turning out from a minor to major road. It happened because i did not do the safety check in the correct order. It was kind of funny but at the same time embarrassing because even when the circuit the car was going like 10-20km/h?? it still somehow managed to send me flying 2-3 bike distance 😂 After that i remember walking towards the bike and picking it up after that was told to sit at the kerb and i just could not stand afterwards🥲. Almost all the instructors remember me based off that incident but we became like friend friend and eventually when i came back i actually somehow magically became much better in riding which i also don't know how to explain 😬

Get well soon though!

I was quite lucky that even i drop my right leg i nv fail thou.. i dropped my right leg n i look at the instructor then i just proceed to go back waiting area n pray for the best.. hahaha

Haha cos u're now more cautious after ur accident.. knowing the pain tt u had went through.. i somewhat broke my knee n its getting worse recently.. no idea when its gonna heal up 😂

Same here, i dropped my right leg and stalled engine for 2B. 2A i was perfect in all stations except S-course more than 11 sec. But regardless of how little mistakes you think you made still will get 18 points.

Woah knee injury is not a joke 😱. Lucky mine was muscle tear so I couldn't move my anything below my ankle for a few weeks and had very bad bruises. Was super lucky that I did not even have a hairline fracture at all after all the x rays I went through 😗. Take care don't strain the injured knee too much. My guess it will take about a close to a year for a full recovery even after you feel like you can move around. The pain still stays for a few more months usually.

Congratulations! I took 6 months due to work / travel and 2 repeat lessons, third attempt -cleared (same one; "el-planko", now my favorite :) ). Only got my license on validation of 2B after I came back from my other trip. Yes, 2A will be the next thing to see :) There is so much to learn from the community here.

You can do it! It's now March and soon, you will get it, just go for the revision (especially if you love riding) lessons... I always like when I get on the bike... albeit even a school bike... thinking about it puts a smile on my face! :)

Another tip I did was not expect or hope to pass. Makes a lot of difference to calm my nerves. 1st test I was all hyped up to pass and when I failed I was disappointed. 2nd test - I went with a heck care kinda attitude. I even had plans for lunch with someone cos I wasn’t expecting to pass. Gd luck!

Not sure if this might be useful for you but here are some bikes that I recommend trying during your RC.

It may not be accurate because its been awhile since i passed 2B and that the bikes condition may change from the time I used it but hopefully these might help you for your TP. All the best for your TP! 😁

All bikes on carousell are crazy priced. I got see 600k mileage bike asking for more than 5k...

Also only bike body (0 coe) can sell more than original buying price due to external modifications. I tried listing my FZ16 with 1 year COE for a reasonable price but decided not to sell because it is impossible to find a reasonably priced alternative.

FZ16 eh. Nice looking bike. Im planning to get one. Seller renewed 5yrs last Aug so should be good enough to last me till C2 perhaps. Don't wanna spend too much on a 1st bike.

The stressful part is not waking up early or the practical test which is less than 10 mins. It is the waiting which can be more than 2 hours to know your result.

I paid 3k for my first bike with about 4 years+ coe left. That price is impossible to find now.

Yup. Sellers asking 3k+ for 1yr left. No choice I guess. Everything going up. I’m spending 6.5k for one. At least if sell next 2-3 years can get back some $$$

I'm just going to renew my COE then go Japan find a good class 2 then import to SG.

Yes you are right that 2A and Class 2 are way more stricter. But this is because they "Assume" that since you already hold 2B license for at least 1 year, they just assume you have a bike and ride like every day or at least a few times a week. This goes the same for Class 2. The TP will not care that even if you hold the license and never ride for a whole year they still assess you like you have been riding a bike. I also know that when you drop your bike for 2A and class 2 the instructor can really become super angry and scold you but this is no choice because they worry those taking the sessions after may not have enough "functioning" 2A and Class 2 bikes. As for during my experience for my 2B it was really how strict like the way stated above.

While I’m sorry you got into an accident. But I’m also glad it happened in the circuit where it’s slow speed and you have all the guards which helps in preventing serious injuries🙊🙊. And I’m sure you’ll check your blind spots diligently now. Some experiences help keep us alive 😆😆

Hello y’all! 👋 Just wanna share with all the kindred seniors here who gave my tips ever since the first post about miserable L3 days - I’ve finally passed my TP after 10 months learning!!!!!

The conditions for TP was really good, and seems like the odds were in the favour for the small tag numbers. Managed to stick to the bike number i chose for warm up all the way till road (super lucky!!!)

Really wanna thank y’all for the super kind advices and encouragement for fig 8, though i exceed the timing for fig 8 for fears of screwing up, but thank goodness i rmbr the precious advices and maintain good eyepoint!! 😆

Thanks y’all! Looking back, thank goodness i didn’t give up on this journey, almost wanted to give up when i hit the 11th lesson of Lesson 3 for fig 8 woes. 😪

Was so despondent that I started an account here to ask for tips and read some past threads about 2B serial repeaters passing their TP test. Really thankful for all the super kind tips and genuine advices, no words can describe how thankful I am honestly.

I shall monitor the COE and strike when the iron’s hot! 🤣

Do you all have any good shops to recommend for purchase of a new bike?

Thanks again!!🥰

Oh you attended lesson 3 11 times? Well you made it so that’s all that matters.

I got my bike recently from another biker through carousell. I guess if you know what to look for, you can get considerable savings compared to shops and if you pay cash. I didn’t wanna spend too much for a 1st bike as I’m waiting for 2A or even 2 before “upgrading”.

you can check out yew heng or revology. They got a lot of good reviews.

Ah I see, thanks a lot for the kind sharing! For myself, I’m not too sure if I’ll be pursuing for 2A or even 2 in the long run, am feeling pretty pooped by this 2B journey haha. But who knows if I will change my mind in the future? 😄

The number of lessons i took at SSDC is pretty long compared to the average learners I think? Sorta reduced the number of tries from L5 onwards due to RC/RR:

L1 - 9

L2 - 8

L3 - 12

L4 - 2

L5 - 4

L6 - 4

L7 - 3

L8 - 4

RC - 22

RR - 7

TP - 1 time

A long biker journey but super worthwhile looking back. Met so many like minded learners and kind seniors who have helped shape my journey!! 😊

Of course not to forget the instructors hahah! Was really fortunate to get the super high guidance kinda instructors during last stretch of practices before TP.

Wahhh... indeed.... i have to give it to you... i remember one of the students in my class was also at number 8 of  L1... and still continued. When i took my TP i saw that student at L3. It must have been hard but i'm sure that student eventually did it. People who don't give up are the best~ they get there eventually!

Cafe Racer look? Get some nice leather jacket and vrrooom~ I've seen a few female riders on this bike before. Looks pretty cool without a box.

Yes.. waiting time is the worse part..

My friends brought 500-1k for their 2nd hand bikes.. haha.. (wave and etc) back around 200x.

I brought my KR with 5 years reminding about 1.8k..
