Hi,

I am thinking of going to take up bowling as a hobby. I have been casual bowling for the past few months.

I want to learn to hook the ball then to use "brute" force to smash the pins.

Can someone intro a good ball that hooks more effectively? How much would it costs?

Thanks

Hello!

I am also into bowling last time.

I played for 2 yrs since 2004 then one yr ago never play till now.

I know how to use straight, spinner, cranker and hook style.

Now i think i can only use straight and cranker cos spinner i forget liao and i dun have reactive ball to do hook. i only left wif normal 13lbs ball.

The ball 2yrs nv use liao cos too heavy to carry around.

The last time i use is 11lbs house ball cos i too weak liao.

If wanna bowl at hougang superbowl near kovan, can pm me?

Thanks.

Dun laugh at me if i play badly or funny.

i learnt my spinner by trial and error cause all the books in the library and resources online were for hook bowlers. in the end took years to correct all my mistakes...

so i'd recommend u read up on it first and get some one who's more experienced to guide you.

of cos in the first place u muz have a strong foundation otherwise be prepared for lots of Longkangs!

some interesting stuff

Bowling resources

they even have a clip on spinner release!

I learn to hook from a coach.

If u learn to hook without guidance from hook bowlers, u might injured ur wrist or hook the wrong way.

U need a reactive ball to hook to see the results, normal ball dun hook that much unless u use cranker bowling style, mine speciality.

I'm going to get a reactive ball few months later, gotta train back my hook, now leisure bowling in the mid time.

HI!

if u wanna learn spinner, u will need your customise personal bowling ball as house ball normally dun fit your fingers hence ur finger/wrist will hurt after one or two games of spinner.

U can just get a normal polyester ball for spinner.
