You, your booklet, and the theory book.

Which booklet?

A question about Circuit revision - Normally, how many time do you all go for Circuit revision before you go for lesson 5? And for Circuit revision can be booked from Lesson 5 onwards till Lesson 8?

Posted

you can go as many times as you like. 5 times a day also. a lot of cr slots. go until you think you are ready to pass. some don't bother going. but you need to go for at least one to get the briefing on the circuit route. after lesson 5 you can also continue booking circuit until tp. you will be able to book road revision after passing lesson 7.

new bikes in operation already. was used in today's efr i was told.

Yeah I used the new bike for my EFR, saw those at RR using them too.

Sadly the speedometer of the new bike I took wasn't working, didn't manage to see how fast I go when I was on the expressway.

Oh. Ok noted. Anyway, which theory book to bring for Defensive Riding Theory?

Yup, ber is correct, DRT no need to bring book. Whereas the booklet i was referring to was the white palm sized booklet because they will need to award you with the chop for completing the theory lessons.

my 2b, 2A and class 2 TP all kana wobble. I seriesouly dont know which part i wobble i think they just give points cuz nothing to give.

I get that too. Its like you have riding experience for quite a while and you know you never wobble, and then when you get the result slip back, you are "awarded" points for wobbling.

I was like wtf! Pass can alrdy laa!:)

Any tips on fig 8 guys? My instructor kept saying I'm too slow even though I felt that I was very fast already :(

fig of 8 is the easiest imo. just keep the throttle on somewhere in the middle and maintain

my guess is you drop the throttle momentarily?

sometimes I find that they lie a little so during the test you don't be too cautious and really go too slowly.

Don't be dis heartened rijac. You definitely have the skills. Just have to mentally fight the doubt in your head.

I dunno if it will help but here is what i did to prepare. Hopefully it benefits others taking the test too.

Abt two weeks leading up to the test, i was revising almost every other day. I would wear the same clothes i was going to wear on the test. Same shirt. Same jeans. Same shoes. Same watch. Then i just kept going through the sequence for the test. Basically drilling the motion of the test until it was second nature. Then on the test date, just relax and do exactly like how i had been doing for revisions. I was completely in the zone. Even when people tried to talk to me i zoned out and mntained focus. Maybe its abit extreme but i managed to pass that way. My fren on the other hand has failed 4 times alrdy so...

thanks bro. donno whats happening lah. the things that happen to me during TP are things that i never did before - like leg down at crank for example. i also had a fishtail during the ebrake but i managed to stay in control and stop before the white line using the correct technique. but the bike stalled. they didn't penalize for it.

This plank ah... Fed up man... What's the secret...??

go up plank, dont look at the plank... look straight and balance as u move slowly...

Posted

Go a little faster as you mount the plank then clutch in to reduce speed once you have both wheels on the plank. Look far (for example at the last cone of the pylon slalom). Timing for 2B is easy so you don't need to do anything special. If you are too fast, lightly tap the rear brake. If you are slowing down too much, half clutch and minimally open throttle.

Posted

depends on what is the problem... can mount and cannot stay on or cannot even mount?

the single most useful tip thought to me by an instructor was this - to balance on the plank, do not shift body weight... but keep 'pushing and pulling' on the handlebars so that the front wheel is always pointing to the center of the plank. that will help you stay on the plank but only if you are not moving to slowly. forward movement is important so throttle harder with half clutch but step on the rear brakes to slow down.

Anybody tried the new bikes? I tried on for my L7 yesterday. The brakes not that "strong" as the old ones. Probably haven't break in yet. Just want to know about different preferences. I think the new bike easier to ride. Lighter also.
