anyone running on open pod? just curious since nexus and SR max is running on Fuel Injection, did you guys did tuning? or it will auto adjust to the settings?

i am not sure if there is aftermarket open pod intake for nexus to what i last checked. not sure about now. if we change exhaust or open pod probably have to get force master or TC unit O2 controller. mhmmm. maybe you can call up Desmond, distributor of Malossi Singapore to check it out. A really nice dude who is very knowledgeable on scooters!!

Well I am not very sure but is the gilera runner running on f.i too? Seen many do open pod n they juz let the mech rev here n there to tune it....

Basicly, anything if its a drastic change need to have a new map/settings on the ecu for f.i. to have the correct fuel to air ratio as possible.

Imo, I rather no doing. My experience on the honda sp 150 with open is a hassle. It feels like u have power but actually its top end decrease.

Furthermore its a core. U need to keep on cleaning it n if it rains heavily, u need to be in the shelter as water will seep in

And

My old sch uncle back in the days also used open pod settings on a cb500. Where he did his diy in his shed. (Yes singapore kampong days)

Cut story short, unless u know how to overhaul n diy. He advice me to stay away from it.

stick to drop in filters. less hassle. haha. anyone has any idea are there any legal exhaust for nexus till date? i know LV has. not too sure of other brands though

Not as far as we know because the Nexus has very little demands in Singapore and having them homologated for aftermarket exhaust will be quite expensive for the 300 leader engine. ;)

Hi guys, was kind of bz recently... my advis If u wanna play air filter

Then get those drop in type. Don opt for open pod cos too much of a problem.

Lets ask ourselves this question, is it a must to change open pod?

If bike heavily mod n required more oxygen then is a yes to level on the air fuel ratio.

In conjunction with it, a fuel controller is needed. If for local use and a bit of short rides

In Malaysia then original is still best or maybe change the roller or multivar or exhaust

Is good enough. original belt will last longer compare to performance belt.

So far my bike is using 10w40 fully syn Maxima EO and K&N oil filter

And eo change every 5000km or less. Recently just change my coolant to engine ice

Also denso iridium plug. Final drive oil also just changed. A healthy engine means lesser problem.

Hope to hear and see more sharing info...
