is it true that a first hand fz1 09 cost abt 27k?

Hi all fazer rider, i planning to get one FZ1, any comment on fairing version better or naked better for sg use? I only use in sg not going to go north as got car, any difference in term of agility and design for the two model? thx

 

BTW, anyone selling can let me know, fz6 wil also be considered.

checking with fellow FZ riders, typically how long does your rectifier and coil last?

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

If you're gonna ride solely in SG, then might as well get a Super4! :angel:

 

OK seriously. You're probably gonna take it to JB or 2nd link for a spin from time to time. I'd rather take the FZ1S, with the head fairing. Gives you some measure of wind protection.

 

 

From an aesthetic viewpoint, it's subjective. Some say the Naked is more fierce, but personally I prefer bikes with head fairings as I'm a sportsbike person. Besides, twin headlights are always better than one :p

haha seem like a mis comm between mi & chubb....

hmm...

so hw fast is fast for a gen1 wif reg to top speed....

hey chubb seem like we interested in the same item the clear tail light...

but pricing seem stiff ...hmmm

yup the stock chrome exhaust is kinda huge but tat the era for the bikes then....

nw all slim & thin & light....

well still pref the muscle bike aka fat bike type lol.....

 

EFI does nt mean it save more fuel than carb...

current technology for carb = more power than efi efi save tat little bit fuel but it catching up wif the power of carb..... does nt appy to busa or to zx12 lol

well u must c hw many injector is decidated to each throttle body aka efi carb.....

example a cbr1000 has 2 injector to each throttle body (4 throttle body "chamber" so 8 injector)

when cruIsing 1 injector is used but when high rev 2both injector is used to create more power....

rem in order for a engine to crank....

there must be 3 elements

SPARKS, FUEL & AIR. (combustion traingle)

remove 1 n u noe .... no combustion

so there must b a place for all these to meet & tat is the throotle body (is tat the tech name ? Correct mi if i'm wrong)

get the idea...?

for servicing yes ppl do wash & syscronise the throotle body price range fr $45 to $80.....(but unlike the new cbr08 it has auto syscronsie)

or simply juz pour fuel injector cleaner wich u can get fr any petrol kioks....

for tuning LL gt to use power commander aka pc3 or pc5 etc ...

to so call get the full used power wich i believe is crap at times.....

i still trust other makes & brand but of course spore only famous for pc3 kinda overated..... (juz my pt of view)

& it nt cheap brand new wif settings is ard $700-800

carb jet kit is half the price though....

mayb i will try LOL....

so end of the day ...

efi win in the sense less trouble to tune & setting dun run & of course nt choke wif oil & will inform the rider of nay electric problem by the number of times the efi light blink.....(pls refer to workshop manual for these)

but carb is still the trustworthy raw power kind (doe snt appy to 04-05 zx10 though efi but it damn raw ..wonder y...)

1) spec3 using carburator am i rite, so occassuionaly we got to wash and tune its carbuator.

 

2) fazer600 using EFI rite, den does it has carburator to wash too. if dont have den wash where if no power?

While caruburator is a metal block silver colour thing tat can be seen once taken out from the bike.

While caruburator is a metal block silver colour thing tat can be seen once taken out from the bike.

 

vtec is vtec....

efi is efi....

vtec is a stupid ting aka performance boosting technology tat the Jap(Honda) throw to us to play. (there is better technology in japnese)

 

efi is eletronic fuel injection ....

most of the new models nw use efi liao regards of makes aka brands .....

 

THROTTLE BODY AKA FUEL INJECTION CARBS.....

IT IS OSO A SILVER METAL BLOCK TING CAN B SEEN & TAKEN OUT....

like my prev ride zx12.

 

so u can wash & syscronise the throttle body like carbs at motortiams but cannot tune.....

 

to tune must use power commander.....

278 km or 278km/hr?

 

okay let a gen1 owner verify the claim..:D

 

gen1 full tank can do 290 km before reserve light up, top speed around 270km/h on a full stock engine....i have no time to look at the speedo properly at that speed cause i am more worried about holding on to my dear life and looking at blur images for potential danger.

98-01 R1 exhaust can fit carb fazer.

but yr main stand right side rubber will touch e mid pipe, so need to weld a bracket.

 

 

u wan also can fit R1 dual exhaust at e side. dis 1 is from foreign country. my fren try b4 reported to hav power lost.
