Hi guys,

 

For the Gen 1 FZS1000, is there any powercut or limiter? I was going 190km and maybe approaching 7000-8000RPM when the engine is acting like on/off. Feels like a limiter, but speed is 190.

Please advise.

fz1 gen1 has no power cut, check your air filter and air flow entry area...your carb not properly tuned will also act up like this...top speed for gen1 is around 260 - 270 kmh

2 things....

1. Check your EXUP valve...

2. Check your air filter intake area as mentioned by the mad man...

 

Did you just happened to squeeze a cloth underneath your seat????... haha...:angel:

if can, i think saturdays would be the best day, else sundays...

 

but we have to consider to include muslim bros or not lei cus they on fasting month...

Thanks for the replies.

The carbs are not cleaned/washed for the past 30,000km.

Got the carbs balanced though, a few months back.

 

EXUP valve was checked, guess got to get it checked again soon.

And yes, the air filter is due for replacement in about 2 weeks.

hi guys. jus bought a fz1n. like to check with u guys any after market brake and clutch level avail in the market? any recommened tyre to change? price rougly? good grip good for conering and touring prefer. thanks for advice in advance.

Brakes = Brembo RCS,R1 stock master cylinder,Pazzo-CRG-Rizoma brake lever for stock perch.

Stainless steel braided brake hoses = Venhill,Hel,Goodridge..

Clutch levers = Pazzo,CRG,Rizoma..

Tires = Michelins Pilot Road 2
