I got one for $35 from SLT, B1. Must be even below 'entry level' then

yup got one of those too from the same shop, entry level or not it's keep my entire fleet charged and dont have to worry about pushing my bikes down mscp...:thumb:

wahh lucky i havent buy....B1 which shop?

u bought already or not yet buy? btw, limbat jus told me that he's going to Thailand next week for the lights festival... i didn't ask when he's back... if u going, better check with him first... :)

i bought my pole lights and h4 earlier today during lunch...

Have u clean your front sprocket before? You will be surprise how dirty the front sprocket can be. maybe clean up the front sprocket area first to determine where the oil is coming from. maybe your scottoiler on too much oil. For me, my scottoiler is on 1.8. can see the chains is wet will do.

Thanks pple. Maybe I will do wat pichudot has inform. Another thing is how do I open the front sprocket cover. How many screws to dismantled it? I would like to clean it

U can open it by using Allen key. U need to dismantle 3 screws. I use GT85 and a brush..Wear glove if can when washing..the grime is damn thick...i use to maintain in monthly....now 6 months once.....

Valve clearance should be done for every 40,000km for FZ1 accordingly to owner manual. Not sure about FZ6, maybe can check owner manual. Should be the same as FZ1.Timing chains should change when u bike hit 100,000km.

Firstly, u need to unscrew the two nuts on the shift-rod that goes in between your frame. One nut is to turn clockwise and the other nut is to turn anti-clockwise. Should be size 8 open spanner.Take out the shift-rod. Then 3 allen head screws that is securing your sprocket cover. Should be size 5 allen key. Use WD40 or RP7 with a small paint brush to clean away the old chain lube and dirt.

Wooo that's a very resonable price. somemore by a famous tuner/mechanic. Wondering how much will HL charge for such a tedious job. Btw bro, did you notice clicking sound prior for the valve clearance?

since talking about valve clearance, i share abit on my part. i did mine ard 36,000+km. at that time, just happen that when the rpm reach 6000+, there is a very loud rattling sound hence after verifying, its the tensioner thats causing it. so i decided to do the valve clearance n change the tensioner n timing chain. gasket changed too. after everything was done, the ride is superb!! better than a new bike!! :D

for wat i know, valve clearance is recommended on every 40'000km interval. meaning 40'000km, 80'000km, 120'000km etc. as for timing chain n tensioner, shd b longer but not sure of the recommended mileage frame. shd b like wat superspeed123 had said, 100'000km or 80'000km OR it failed b4 it reach that mileage like wat i experienced. :(

Ya bro,superspeed123 introduced me to him...I told him to check my tensioner, chain and stator motor(coil), I had to provide him the cover gasket for this. Bike pulls off the line better now if you know what I mean:)

Reason for doing my valve clearance(not vulva Rudy hahaha!), so late is that I've gone down to HL e last few, 5k servicing intervals, and the mechs told me it was not necessary after listening to my engine run, funny ah?

If u can hear a ticking sounds mean you should get 'A LOUDER EXHAUST!!'...HAHAHA JUST KIDDING!... after speaking to alot of FZ1 owners/R1 04-06 owners/bike mechs, they say that it's normal as long as the tick sound is at a reasonable volume. Best to go ask a professional to check it out for a peace of mind bro:)

wahh lucky i havent buy....B1 which shop?:angel

main entrance of sim lim tower, at the left hand side of the stairs that is going up, take the small stairs down, shop directly in front to the right

i think the price is $25 rather than $35..let the owner of the shop knows it is for bike battery, he will intro you a few models on hand, take your pick
