Current COE price is close to $2600.

:faint:!!! Madness, what is the world coming to? Next time the season parking will cost $1.5K a month for bike alr.

Guys, is it true that fazer1 fc is quite bad compared to touring bike like fjr? Coz a friend of mine who's colleagues is riding fjr, fz1.. So recently they went up north. So this fjr guy calculated that they shld oni do 4pitstop bt becoz of these fz1 they have to do 6stops instead. Can anyone justify this? Im not comparing fjr and fz1. Or mayb its true?

FZ1 has quite a bad FC cos it has the same engine as the YZF-R1, which is known for their bad FC as well. haha!

BTW, i like your sig. I'm loving my akra... opps.. LV as well!

Hi all,

Something to share here. I was recently stopped by LTA Roving Bike for my exhaust. Was then directed to STA to do an inspection.

The inspection found the following irregularities from LTA Regulations:

1) Additional Lamps (LED strips connected to brake light)

2) LED Brake Light Bulb (Yes, bulb. The officer said it is not approved)

3) Number Plate Lamps.

4) Tampered exhaust (Took out silencer. Sucks thumb)

5) Mudguard/ Mudflaps (Broken by about 2 inches)

The regulations are really k**cc*, so is the STA inspection.

Intent to appeal though. Waiting for the notice of offence to come.

I guess will boycott STA for any inspection. Sibei strict.

Any 1 with 2nd Mudguard to sell? Automachinery & HL got no stock.

Exup mantainence is not difficult if you have a platform to work on. My back hurts, kneeling like a 10 dollar whore.

Bloody hell, this is trouble - I want to replace my entire tail light cluster with an LED one, dunno how much trouble that will cause. And what about the exhaust? Can I ask them to compare my current exhaust to the pics taken during original inspection to verify that it hasn't been tampered with? Or will they decide on their own what is considered 'tampered'?

Secondly, do you have a choice to go to Vicom etc? Or will you die die be taken to STA for this kind of ad-hoc inspection?

The new one at Boon Lay.

Our government give me $500 take $1000 away. Zzz.

My exhaust got cert, but i took out the silencer, considered illegal modification.

I was escorted to STA Boon Lay by 2 LTA riders.

I passed my inspection at Vicom with

2) LED Brake Light Bulb (Yes, bulb. The officer said it is not approved)

3) Number Plate Lamps.

5) Mudguard/ Mudflaps (Broken by about 2 inches)

STA really. Inspection if can don't go STA.

Jurong Inspection Centre is the best. Always passed without any qns.

Any one got experience appealing successfully from LTA?

I guess the total will add up to $700 for the fine according to the LTA Officer.

By ,'riders', you mean the ones that look like TPs and not those outsourced contractor ones right?

bro, try writing to them. be humble etc and apologise for the "ignorant" mistakes found on ur bike. if u bought it second hand, then just say that the previous owner had them on when you bought it and you don't know that it's illegal to have these modifications. tell them to consider ur appeal n that you will do the necessary required changes. if it doesn't work, try appealing through ur MP as now is the good time to get things through.....

should the appeal goes through, they will give u a timeline to do the changes n come back for inspection again. this time if nothing is changed, then they'll fine you....

Yup, escorted by the TP bike ridden by LTA officers.

I tink i gg to appeal for all except the exhaust. But $500 is painful. Ouch..

I'm working for ST engineering and STA was "featured" in the news about the inspector letting illegal mods pass after accepting kopi $.So they're now stricter.Even own colleague's vehicle also no mercy.
