Firstly , we await to welcome u to our big FAZER family.

We also hang out at --> http://forum.singaporefazerclub.com/

if you wish to know about the Fazer Bikes & us of course.

Frankly you will have lesser of a problem selling ur bike if it is fully paid

up as you dun have to go thru a 3rd party.

As whether there may be difficulties with a bike shop unwilling to let go

with full cash settlement , yes i have read about this in this forum but i

can't find the thread. Anyways best u call up the bike shop to find out.

There is one thread which i found out which mentioned about problems

about full settlement after a H/P financing ..

Click -> http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....0entry2390231

The new models will be arriving soon . Perhaps it is best to wait just a bit longer ?

:goodluck:

Thanks for your kind advise!

Actually i've been a silent observer of both sites now. Just that i'm still riding a S4, so can only read, cannot contribute.

Now only waiting for the 06 model to be out. I wanna see it in flesh before deciding to go for the 05 or 06 model. Any idea whether HL is slashing the price for the 05 model yet?

It is true there may be some disdvantage when you fully pay for your bike...the shop already earning else may not be willing to give more discount on accessories, etc etc. what i did was to strike out a deal, take a 1 year instalment plan and ask shop get the accessories for me, well some shops they dont really earn from the sales of accessories, usually they get it from another party, so it the shop's job to press the accessories shop to lower their price for me...work out after deductions of the interest they earn etc, my accessories was cheaper by about $200 then if i were to get it from those accessories shop myself. After getting my bike, when i pay my first instalment, I pay up my instalment with 1 more month left to pay so they cant charge me anything for early settlement... :D

That's aneat idea as well. But doing as u said, wouldn't it just be better to leave the money in a bank and pay regualr monthly instalments? After all, the bike shop won't thank you for giving them advance money for them to earn interest on.. Am i right to say that? Maybe i'll go for 6mths installments plan.

Btw, I've got a friend who got a brand new bike at slightly lower than market rate, in full payment & with free yamaha rain coat, sliders, bike cover, 3 time oil change, IU & IU bracket. I believe that's one of the best buy I'd come across :thumb:

Most of the time, the bike seller will assume you'll be paying by installment. Therefore, before getting down into paper work, you should have got a price agreed by you & the bike seller. So main thing is to get the agreed price, then let the bike seller know you'll be paying full which he/she will definately ask how will the payment be like. That's what I've encountered from my friends purchases. :D

Actually I've not encountered those that dont wanna sell, just some will quote a slightly higher price if they know it's full payment. Other than that, I'm sure there will be a bike shop whose willing to sell you the bike at normal market rate.

Get what filter, not stock ones better meh? Personally find filter's abit of gimmick kinda thing or your mind playing tricks on you unless proven by a dyno test. Use the wrong ones could get you more dirt in your systems inside of help you with a clear combustion. More air intake doesn't necessary means more power nor combustion, realise everthing has to be tuned proportionally to maximise performance and fuel efficiency. Believed the engineers for Fazer would have already done so meaning that the bike in stock condition is already souped up to suit it's parts to near perfection already. Just Kay-Poh-Ing around, wrong mai flame me...... :offtopic:

Oh ok. Just to find out where you'll be getting it from, does it includes installation and do they provide washing the air filter if we return to them for servicing?

Btw, if we get it together will be cheaper?

Thanks man, will let you know once I've finish reading up all the filter brands.

cleaning the filter is very simple...just follow the instruction on the filter box...but it take time to dry up the filter...so better do it on your free day... :cheeky:

Hey, off day ah?

If I'm not wrong, it's 04 italian design. Saw it on the italian yamaha web before the 05 was out.
