Lately in the morning when i cold start my bike, meter would turn off while i cranking the bike. The display would turn back on after the engine started. Is this the sign of discharged battery? Now is the 11th mth of ownership.

Buy a volt meter. So u know how much voltage is left in your batt. By the way, my bike also 11-12th month. Whats your number plate?

Multimeter indicates 12.56v when bike is off. Mine FBF16**. Urs? Edited by MonoWorld

Hi Kevin, yea signs of discharge. Best u charge fully the battery at any workshop 1st and monitor it for a few days if the same thing happens again. If it does, battery is gone.

 

Anyway voltmeter is a good battery indicator but sometimes gives false reading and doesnt say how good ure battery is. It might be taking reading from the cell that is good while the rest have kaput, which I suspect happen to mine earlier! Voltmeter 12.2 but cant crank start. In the end have to push start. damn! Changing battery tomorrow ....:cry:

Wah push start.. just call me if you need battery charger. PP to Hougang not so far hehe.

Happened to me before. Basically if the voltage is low and it trickle charges soon or immediately after you connect it, you can say your last rites for the batt liao.

Sargent Touring Saddle is damn good. Day and night difference from the stock seat which makes seating a bit awkward. Bought from Palmer. Ups!

Guys I am considering to upgrade both seats. I am not sure as to get from Corbin, Sargent, Top Sellerie or go to local stores like Juzzwheel or Eugene Saddlery. Any input is greatly appreciated!

after you tried sargent, you wont want to go for corbin. heard corbin is for pple with 'cushiony' butts. only problem with local stores rewrap is that you have to leave the seat there for some time, esp eugene. his work is good but wait for very long, ie you cant ride your bike unless you have spare seat. otherwise i think rewrap is a more economical solution.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

corbin is said to be hard initially... u got to seasoned it before u will start to feel comfortable... it will be good on a later stage...

 

sargent takes your butt contour & get to be seasoned very soon... it feels good after sitting on a seat that has ur butt curves...

 

top sellerie is very comfortable... cus it has memory foam in it... u wun need much time to get it seasoned...

 

juzzwheels, forget about it...
