Eh ur pic is showing rider seat. Not rear. So ur problem is missing clip for rider seat? But i c e clip looks ok?

Might it be u "insert" e seat not "skill" enough. :) i also ve to insert rider seat a few times before get it. Pillon seat i put cloth so open often and use to it. But rider i not used so never manage to get it right 1st few times.

Ya my pics are showing the rider seat. What is the clip u're referring to?

I think i should make the pics clearer. The one below shows the scratches on the black plastic projection and the grooves cut into it. This projection is the part that u insert into the seat holder before locking yr rider seat.

IMAG0150a.jpg

The next pic shows the metal seat holder located below the rider seat.

IMAG0152a.jpg

Because i can't insert the projection into the seat holder, i hv no choice but to place the projection on top of the seat holder before locking my rider seat. So a small prob now is my rider seat is slightly higher. o_O

Oh. Is i misunderstood ur first post on this issue. Dunno how i thought u were talking about pillon seat and clips. Lol.

Anyway ur pic looks just like mine of coz without e scratches. When u get e bike, e rider seat was it like now abit higher? Or it was fitted properly? I suspect it can be fitted properly but need to find e sweet spot. When i remove e rider seat first time, i had a hell of a time trying to put it back. *sweat*

Maybe can ask e experts here out for a cup of tea. ^^

When i got the bike, i can't remember if the rider seat is abit higher. Never notice. Yah i can't find that sweet spot...keep trying and trying then gave up.

Just now saw my tyres are dunlop sportmax. Are they ok on dry and wet? Stock tyres?

I just discovered my rider seat there's a plastic projection that supposed to insert into the seat holder...it's a bit damaged and cannot be inserted.

Oh i bought used bike, not new. Pics of the rider seat below...

hilfiger, it looks like either the previous rider or u had put the seat above the cache and ride with it, that caused the damaged.. it shouldn't be of much a problem la.. u can try fitting it back nicely and there u can go already, unless u can't live with the damage.. hahaha..

to know if u get it fit into the cache or not, v easy to know one.. by looking before u slotting ur seat into the cache or once u placed it, try lifting/pulling the front side of the seat up with small force, u will be able to feel it already..

give a try again.. else like what danielling1981 said, pay him tea to get it done.. :D

Btw, how do u move the mirror stems inwards to avoid letting them get hit by other bikes?

For ur side mirror, if stock type, u just need to use strength. But others ve advise me not to else over time will be loose. If u wan to "open/close" ur side mirror, can consider getting after market like rizomo? Got chiong type also. I think those easier to open/close.

Or just go jb during off peak. :)

E stock mirrors i find is good. Maybe u try adjust ur mirrors outwards so tat cant c ur fingers lo. But e risk is u cant c behind to watch out for tp. :)

no i don't move my mirror an inch becus of that reason.. any bikes hit my mirror & if i'm in a foul mode, he's prepared to get hit by my panniers shortly.. :D

btw, i'm using stock mirrors & i have mirror extender some more.. this will enhance me to see more of behind without seeing my own arms.. hahaha.. in order to see wider, i have concave mirrors installed.. i can see TP hiding behind me anytime.. hahaha! :)

There is a way to adjust the biting point of the clutch lever right? Just turn the bolt at the clutch lever? Cos my biting point is quite close to the fully clutched-in position.

When i turn forward the adjusting bolt at the clutch lever, i notice the clutch biting point becomes nearer to handle grip. When turn backward, the biting point becomes further away from handle grip. Is it ok to adjust clutch biting point this way to suit my style?

Just now saw my tyres are dunlop sportmax. Are they ok on dry and wet? Stock tyres?

Found out from the web that they're stock tyres for fz1 and reviews are not v gd. Hmm...gotta burn pocket soon...

@MonoWorld. Nice box. ^^ but too ex for me. Lol. Ur box can buy my (rack + base plate + box) x 2. ._.

@hilfinger. Best to sort it out asap. Sounds like safety issue. Scarly u higher spd or cornering e seat move and put u off balance.

Yah that's 1 of my concerns too...

Sidetrack a bit...anyone watching England vs France? Gonna start soon...

Nice 52L H&B box.

Are you looking at "downgrading" to a smaller box?

I am using a 50L H&B box now. Regretted slightly after I saw it after I ordered it. I thought a 50L should be enough for me. But alas, it is not big enough for my NTUC goceries shopping or milk powder+diapers purchase.

So am looking at "upgrading" from a "HDB 4-room" to a "HDB 5-room".

If you are looking at "down-grading", we can always negotiate a deal and I top up the difference slightly.

But judging from your sales thread of wanting to sell the whole set of box + brackets for FZ1, are you looking at changing your whole set-up?

Are you willing to part with your box only?

Did you install a back-rest cushion for your 52L box?

Thanks.
