hello all. Sorry to ask such a question over here.

May I know from what year onwards, fz1 has ABS built in or are there options to opt out? I am looking for a 2nd hand fz1 and is considering ABS as an additional option.

Correct me if im wrong, I understand that fz6 s2 is ABS-enabled as well.

Thanks for all the answers. Yeap I knew that there will be a requirement to change the batt. I didn't want to tow the bike to the bikeshop (not too willing to let the money be earned so easily.) I tried push-starting the bike, but didn't work somehow. Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough.

Anyway, thanks for all the answers thus far

i supposed u r riding a fz1.. if u know how to take our your rider seat, u will see ur battery there.. just unlock the necessaries & replace it will do.. take note not to touch the earth areas (negative connection & frame) of ur bike when u r handling the positive connection..

else, u could take a look at your owner's manual.. should have say..

if really can't or no confident, ask your friend to help.. or pay monie tow to bike shop le lo..

my touring and daily pressure nv change. about 260 front 290 rear. for track i use 31 front 30 rear. yes, i remember the 2 in different forms of measurement. i cant remember psi for daily rides.

Push start ain't difficult =.="

1) Find slope

2) Bike turn on position, sit on bike, gear 2, hand on handlebar

3) Clutch in and start to Make Ure bike gain some speed, 5km/h

4) once u feel got a bit of wind let go clutch and throttle all the way

5) bike should start even though battery is weak. Else start process again.

Best to let out some air during rainy day. Don't want bike to feel light for front

usually people will check that ignition coil assembly aka spark plug cap, also known as connector plug you called it here, when they replacing their spark plug, or between every 40k to 60k KM of mileage.. mine spoiled at around 60k KM of mileage, others i ever heard spoiled at 40+k KM or so..

the symptom for failed ignition coil assembly is the lack of power during travel, engine stalled below 3k rpm especially moving off from stop point..

RPM not stable when bike is hot is usually related to idling tuning and/or A/F ratio mixture adjustment and/or performance mods..

Thank you Grandmaster pichudot. Can I trouble you a bit more? As you know I know nothing about bike performance or tuning, I just know how to ride only; your tips are really very helpful.

Apart from RPM not stable, recently I also feel like bike has lack of power during travel; a bit slow in response when i try to accelerate. So far bike never stall, and I thought I am too sensitive. My mileage is quite high, now it is 86K and I took over from 65K. So, in my next servicing, may be I'll get the ignition coil assy checked. I don't have any power commander or other performance accessories, and running the stock exhaust. So I believe for my case may be I just need to tune the idling. Or is there any other things need to be tuned or serviced?

Thanks for all the advices. Like Adriel, I tried to push start and tried jump starting with my car. Didn't manage to get it working. Guess gotta let the guys earn the $$. Anyone has the numbers for mobile servicing?
