My front tire does not have much wear, only my rear tire is about 60% wear in the middle.

I'm thinking of changing them as a set but very heart pain and wasted since my front tire is still in good condition but also worried if change only the rear might affect the performance.

Head pain, heart pain, wallet pain.

I'm due to visit ah Chong to change my front brake pads and coolant. Ka Ching

how u check ur front tire? stationary check or when riding, stand up n take a look at the tires? stationary check may look good but when u take a look when the bike is moving, b it slow or fast, straightaway u can c the shape, is it round or have flat surfaces.

My backside also getting itchy. Intending to replace my Givi box to side boxes. Looks more better Mah. Any feedback on which brand and model looks good and price reasonable. Include bracket.

u using givi top box?

What is the price of servicing the valve clearance and throttle body cleaning???

I did mine at Hong Leong :) Can't remember exactly how much I spent for that; it's more than a year back. But I think mostly it will depend how many things inside you need to replace. My mileage was about 70K at that time; they replaced quite a number of items and the total bill was quite a lot. I don't know much about bike. So don't know whether I was chopped or not. But the bike was good after all those servicing.

I checked the tires at stationary position, inspecting the groves and overall shape of the tire. It may may be accurate but the groves have lots more to burn for sure.

Yes, I'm using Givi rear box. I think it's big enough for 2 helmets. The previous owner also claim the bracket is high end type but I'm no expert to see the difference.

The previous owner of my bike claimed to have done this valve clearance thingy and cost him $400+. Not sure if it is so important but I don't seem to feel much difference.

Got motor tiam mechanic ever told me that Throttle body synchro is waste of $ and time.

In my opinion, regular servicing and gentle riding style is more economical than those chimalogy servicing.

My 2 cents worth.

i suggest u stand up n check when u ride when its safe to do so. by doing that, u can clearly see the shape of the tyre, if its round or with flat spots. i used this method cos by feeling the tyres at stationary, cannot feel anything but when stood up n take a peek, the flat spot can b seen.

interested but i only came to realize mine is fz1. not compatible. :D

Too bad different model. Manufactures are so clever in design to earn our $.
