SINGAPORE : A police officer crashed his car into a pillar along a walkway at about 6pm on Monday.

The incident happened in front of Block 274D at Jurong West Avenue 3.

A police spokesman told Channel NewsAsia the plain-clothes officer had lost control of his vehicle.

It then mounted the kerb and hit the pillar.

No one was injured, but the car's bonnet was dented.

The police are investigating the incident. - CNA/ms

Yes.

he will have his points deducted. like everyone else.

But if you are suggesting otherwise, might be nice to see some proofs.

we are all humans and we do make mistakes... doesnt matter that his a policeman, a civilian, a military personnel, the president, a minister... all will make mistake one...

and for a policeman to do that... he might get worse than most of us and we never know... it will all be done internally...

what i heard from my fren serving his NS in SPF is that it will be an internal investigation. moreover, the guy who drove the car will be ripped of his police driving license.

but rip or not rip will depends whether does he have any records before anot.. speeding..etc...etc..

thought the 'police driving license' is just the norm civillian class 3 license? That's why SPF sent the regulars to class 3 course for free wat unlike army where we have our own kaki bukit and mandai camp where our license are only vocational license and can't drive civillian cars

ohh.. the police driving license is not the same as normal govt license..

IF you are a regular with govt license, the police will send the regulars to convert their license to police driving license (PDL), so they can drive their own private cars and QX

IF you are a regular without govt license, the police will send you for the driving course, undergo the same process of conversion. means you save money at driving schools because u got govt license for free.

IF you are a NSmen WITH license only, the police will send you for conversion to PDL. BUT those NSmen who have govt license but w/o PDL, if they drive QX vehicles, they will still be charged illegal driving.
