above link is daelim 2009 lineup, there is a rwr 250 fi.

from wat i know they also have S2 250cc scooter but use kymco engine (not sure about rwr 250 fi).

daelim mainly built 50, 110 n 125cc engines, those above they may use other makers engine, probably becoz of cost factor.

Fuel injection meaning it will be faster & more fuel efficient than the it's predecessor model? btw, i've just tried filling up my tank to full and riding and it really went all the way and lasted 400km+ on my bike. love this bike, it really saves alotta fuel as u guys said:thumb:

Ya. My bike fuel consumption 25-27km per litre. Quite good lar. But i tink my fuel gauge not accurate.

Coz sometimes after travelling 200km,my fuel gauge shows 1/4 full. But sometimes it shows 1/2 full. When i check e fuel level by openning e fuel lid,i couldn't realli tell if there's enuff petrol to last 400km.

Dats y e furthest i go before e nx fuel top-up is 300km max. Can anybody advise me wat to do? Thx..

your bike have been tuned rich, tat's why fc is at 25~27km/l (15 litres cover 375~405 km).

my fc is also the same, richly tuned carb.

my fuel gauge also no good, full tank is at 3/4 mark, empty is above red mark.

it is either the float sensor or the gauge problem, anyway not so important.

i use the odometer for mileage n turn to reserve when empty,

it's enough to reach nearest petrol station.

u should learn how to switch fuel lever position from norm to reserve whilst riding on the road.

when my odometer (tat's the mileage indicator, reset to zero on every top-up) when it passed 400 km,

i'll know the engine will start to shutter when it is running out of fuel.

stretch out my arm n reach for the fuelcock's lever n turn up to reserve,

engine will start running normal again.

search for the nearest petrol station n top-up, usually is 15+ litres.

fi can meter more precise air/fuel mixture with ECU, MA n O2 sensors control, normally more towards lean side.

tat's why it's fc is better than carb when we start to meddle carb's settlings.

with fi u can't do any resettings unless u got electronic gadgets to play with.

Do all rw have reserve tank? I can't seem to activate e reserve fuel even afta 1+ yr wif my rw. When i put my key into e fuel fill cap,i can either open e cap for refuelling or close it back afta dat. Is e fuelcock lever at e fuel fill cap? Thx..

u can see the fuelcock underneath the tank on the left side of the bike.

lever pointing downwards is open (ON).

lever pointing sidewards is close (OFF).

lever pointing upwards is reserve (RES).

here found an old pic;

Damn! I'm sooooo noob! Can't believe i juz found out about dat. Thx alot! So,when u refuel, how do u fiil up e reserve tank? Do u switch to reserve tank to refuel e reserve tank or do u juz refuel as per normal?

Posted (edited)

most bike fuel tank normally with two tapping points.

normal 'ON' (open) tap point is at higher position than reserve.

reserve tap point is at the bottom of the tank.

rw full tank is 16 litres (include reserve 1.1 litre).

u will consume 15 litres with fuelcock lever at 'ON' position.

at 'RES', u will consume last remaining litre of fuel in the tank.

Hi everyone n si-fu of RW, im buying a RW soon n there r alot of mods for this bike. Can anyone guide me thru which r better mods n how much $$ damage will be? :)

Posted (edited)

welcome dpquad,

technically if u want to mod engine for more power,

i suggest u get a more powerful machine like 200cc or 2-strokers.

or upgrade yourself to class 2 license n ride a bigger litre bike.

rw is not a fast/power bike, it is just big bike in size with small engine.

rw built qualities r better than most other 2b bikes.

beauty is a personal taste, up to u how/wat accessories u want to install.

rw top speed is 110kph, it will take more than 14 seconds to reach 100kph.

it vib at two zones ie. at 4~5k n >8k rpm.

mod for better ride,

eg. carb settings with jets change, main-jet($5) n slow-jet($7) - DIY.

accessories:

headlight, signal lights, illegal exhaust system, windshield, stebel horn, box, mirrors, belly-pan, etc.

not much other accessories tat i can think of.

Thanks stsoh for prompt reply!:thumb: I

m relieved tat the bike quality r of certain standards cos i hv heard otherwise, n not to mention resale price too.

Im planning for upgrading cos after awhile, i might get bored w original... "Backside itchy la" hehe...

Workshop did mention a 150cc n 200cc carb upgrade, dunno how good it is.

better to get a ktm 200cc 2-stroker if u want power.

mod engine is illegal anyway.

like i say if want power get a power bike.

accessories add-on for looks/functions.

just be aware tat ktm bikes r hot fav on missing/stolen list.

4-strokes single don't produce good power, eg:

125cc approx. around 9~11 horsepower.

200cc approx. around 16~18 horsepower.

2-stroker 200cc can easily produce 24~30 horsepower.
