u dun have to worry, 4-strokers r much less noisy than 2-strokers.

i remove my muffler db silencer, it's a bit noisier than stock.

during annual bike inspection, no problem passed inspection, db check is below 85 decibel.

if your muffler is a pole-thru-hole, it's louder but still it is below 90 decibel.

4-strokers r not nuisance as 2-strokers, as u ride away the sound soften n fade away.

2-strokers will just scre.......amers, loud n annoying.

do enjoy your ride, dun worry too much.

you won't break the law tat easy with rw.

even if you speed at 100kph shown on speedometer,

your actual speed is 90kph, within expressway speed limit.

My normal speed on PIE is about 90~100 as per speedo. Was able to push bike once in a while upto 105 but couldn't push past it...don't know why...I also like to shift around 6rpm but in traffic, I shift at 4~5rpm.

it depends on your carb settings, sprocket ratio n rear tire size.

if it is totally stock setup, pls check your accelerator cam cable screw/nut adjustment.

it should be parallel or zero tolerance to throttle valve (non-adjustable) cable.

as usual, rw will tops 110 kph regards of any mentioned changes.

now my rw reach 110km/h on the meter quite easily but only on the meter la... i dunno why... the only changes i made was a 150/60 rear tyre... everyting else is stock, carb was service back 2 months ago due to water in petrol and was done by toh gua cka... my weight is 130kg, and i think if the bike have mouth, he will shout "get off me u fat ass".. hahahaa...

just now stop by cka toh guan, saw the rwr250... slurrrpp... i want those dual front brake on my rw... hahaha....

Just now my bike skidded (rear) and fell to the right side while i was ridding in the covered car park. The floor was quite wet due to rain water. I rode very slow (10 -20 km/h) and cautious already but some how still skids, damn.. not sure whether the rear wheel was lock up or not... sigh :faint:

Front break lever is bended. Front fork also misaligned a little due to impact.

I'm using new stock tyre for the rear and bridgestone battlax for the front wheel.

Any advice from experienced rider here?

sad to hear about your accident.

there r many riders slipped on wet slippery cemented mscp floor.

do ride carefully.

slow slide down won't really bent the fork, it's probably twisted in a way.

try loosen the steering top triple clamp (allen bolt on each side), mid section clamp (bolt on each side) then retighten again.

if it doesn't work then ask cka for help.

brake lever, u can't bent back, it will break coz it is cast aluminum.

u can ask any bike shop, should be a common item.

from the pic, it will not affect braking mechanically.

did it resolve noise from the brake?

basically from wat i know the noise is coz by the pads sticking to the rotor.

i did try spray wd40 at the brake caliper piston (do not spray wd40 at the pads n rotor).

wd40 spray can has those extension tube where u can insert into the gap n spray.

where is the caliper piston?

there r two pistons per caliper for each brake (front n rear).

it hydraulic pushes the back of the pad against the rotor to brake.

look at the back of the pad, u can see two shinning round cylinders pushing the pad.

spray wd40 on these two cylinders to clear away dust n dirt, it also lubricate so tat it won't be sticky.

the brake caliper suppose to retract a fraction when u release the brake lever.

new rwR probably cost around S$8k+ otr (on-the-road, tat means include insurance+road tax).

one yr old depends on the owner willing to let-go price.

price in garage used bike sale is S$2k+, most rw r 5 yrs old, about >60k km mileage.

older model 2004~2007 roadwin is model 'VJ' 125cc air/oil cool engine.

roadwin X5 is 140.2cc.

newer model 2008 onwards roadwinR is model 'VJF' 125cc.

sport version with full farings, dual cam, EFI, water-cool engine.

all rw n rwR r 4-valves engine.

New tyres usually has a new rubbery coating on it and that one will usually cause a lot of new riders to skid especially on wet areas. Try to burn out that layer first before riding the bike hard.

that 2nd hand is a X5, FBC plate with follow specs above. If the owner let go price is 4k cash. reasonable?

if u have cash, i would say yes since it is practically new (5k km mileage).

u need to have some extra cash for your insurance n road tax.

if u buy from daelim agent (cka), it will be expensive (S$3k+) plus it's old 4~5 yr old bike with high mileage.

The noise is no more. I took the bike to CKA. They changed the brake lever and re-align the front fork. :)

i dun think it's a megelli coz the frame is not the same.

i've no idea wat is the brand coz it's a concept bike, not in production yet.

anyway it's a italian bike shown in ECIMA milano motorcycle show 2009.

do a search for EICMA 2009 in youtube n u can find many clips.

maybe it's a cagiva mito replacement becoz 2-strokes n carb bikes can't meet euro4 emission std.

all new bikes will be EFI, problem with EFI will be electronics, sensors, fuel pump n injector.

it means any problems cough up will be expensive replacement of components.
