from wat i do know 140/60-17 is rare, common sizes r 130/70-17 or 140/70-17.

oem rear tire is 140/60-17, this size circumference is also the same as 120/70-17 (mostly for front use).

pirelli dun have 140/60-17, where did u manage to find it?

at CHONG AIK, their web shown shinko 005 podium radial but it doesn't have 140/60-17.

i think i just upgrade lisence, but dun upgrade bike until after ns...

then can buy fjr or some other sports touring....

my dad keep wanting me buy cruiser, hey say big size guy must ride cruiser....

do 10 sit-up exercise everyday, built a bit of abs muscle (no need the std of six packs).

many scooter n cruiser riders r crushing spine disc due to vertical spline posture.

they wont know yet, wait til they age older n wonder why.

it's just like riding a horse, can felt the spline disc impacts on every gallops.

(ps - i dun know how to ride on a horse but on vacation tried those ppl led horse ride).

best riding posture is at 15~25 deg lean forward, tat wont have direct spline disc impact.

Pirelli Street Demon?

anw its 110/70-17

 

so height ; 110/100x70 = 77mm

17inch rim ; 17x25.4 = 431.8mm

 

Total dia = 585.8mm

 

So circumference = 1840mm

 

Keyed it in my Bicycle speedo ( Cateye Strada )

And it showed a 10% error in speed hahah

 

of course i could use a gps but mounting my iphone on my bike is alil risky

also i wont get a signal if im underground.

calculation is alrite but u forget about the tire front arc height.

more over the tire wall is not vertical 90 deg, it's inclined at some angle.

best method is to use a string or thin rope tape over the tire circumference,

then measure it's length, u wun go wrong with it.

if take bt39 110/70-17 spec OD=587mm, cirf=1844.1149mm.

ur error is 4.1149mm, greater error at higher speed.

quite expensive, better stick to oem air-filter.

order from ebay, not available locally.

need to cut, trim n improvise to fit into the rw airbox.

not an easy task to do.

 

(added note: checked ebay, KNN RU-1750 is USD$30 + USD$30 approx. shipping cost).

install KnN high flow air filter doesn't give extra horsepower.

carb have to be tuned to give better optimum horsepower with high flow header.

high inflow (input) need to have high outflow (output).

1.2" stainless steel header restricted with 3/4" hole washers at both ends.

too much high outflow will dampen horsepower at low rpm, thus the retrictors.

rw is a 125 or 140cc engine volume, limited flow capacity.

stock air filter n exhaust header, carb can be tune to give optimum horsepower.

dun think it's worth the efforts n monies, still below 13 horsepower n high fc (tested by my butt dyno).

overall, i have fun doing all these by myself.
