castrol no good, after a week of ride, engine is rough n hard to gearshift.

royal purple max-cycle 20w-50 eo is very good for rw.

it's can last very long, extended life eo (8,000 miles or 12,000 km).

recommend change oil filter at 5,000 miles or 8,000 km.

sillyporean r all kaisu, change eo very too often.

i change eo every six months coz seldom ride.

haha. true but my gears sounds damn rough.

Shouldnt get over $20 oil right?

dun think any bike shop sell royal purple eo.

i normally go down to tanjong pagar plaza block 2 unit 02-20, it's a retail shop.

rp max-cycle 20w-50 is S$18 per btl.

dun buy the cheaper S$12 per btl, it's for car (automotive) use.

buy a bottle, go to cka n ask them to change oil n oil-filter(S$7.50) for u.

a nominal fee will charge for change oil service.

good eo is never a hassle.

have tried many others n find rp max-cycle is the best for rw.

read about those whom had used motul v300, it's good n expensive but not up to expectations.

worst r castrol n semi-syn eo.

next servicing will go get rp liow.... ows from cka ok2, but the oil wear out fast....

is it too big tat will rub against housing?

 

last yr i brought rear sprocket 44t at lab, S$8/pc.

diy of course, service charge if install by shop.

definitely chiong stuff, plastic wrapping with suzuki printed.

seems ok, have been using it for some time.

Hello anybody here still using their Daelim Roadwin?

 

I wanted the Roadwin R a long time, yesterday CKA just replied my email telling me the price with insurance is about 9.7k for me below 21, p-plate. Too expensive!

 

I jump off there and came on the idea of Roadwin. They told me also they didn't have the new roadwin yet. So I guess i'm getting a 2nd hand one. Any suggestions? (:

check used bike sale section, u might find one or two old rw.

rw first came out in 2004, is about 5~6 yr old (mileage >60k km).

old rw dun have balancing shaft tats y it vibs a lot.

rwR (efi) is the new model tat evolve from rw (carb model).

rwR run smooth, more power n lower fc (fuel consumption).

cka dun have old rw model tat is new but they do have 2nd hand.

did u ask them?

i didnt regret buying mine.

i dont think it vibrates alot.

compare it to my friends 2 strokes

mine was heaven.

fy plate.. 1st version of roadwin. 2nd owner milage 40k only. nv run much oni go work n home.. sometimes go to jb for petrol and food.

 

things done:

new front / rear tyres battalax bt090/150 60 and bt 34/110

knn air filter (life time warranty)

full system moriwaki exhaust

new brake disc/brake pads

full carbonfiber radiator cover at the front and at the sides below seat

new clutch plates

new chain rk gold

new set of spockets(stock teeth)

rectangular mirror

new gasket rubber linning

new throttle grips

changed clutch springs to harder one (i dont like soft ones)

changed racing cdi

using motul 300v eo

ngk iridium spark plug

 

I really loved the bike.. washed weekly.. can look from the pic of the condition.. 40k milage only for fy plate.

Yeah CKa told me they are having 2nd hand RW bikes there, wanted to buy one. Naked bike's insurance should be cheaper right? My TP 1st march very kan chiong wanna get that
