no, i dun really think it's harmful but some experts say it can be due to back flow.

to me why it pop is becoz ur carb is not properly tuned.

my recommendations for stock carb settings:

jet-needle clip in slot#4, pilot-screw set at 2 1/4 turns.

jet-needle clip in slot#3, pilot-screw set at 2 3/8 turns.

jet-needle clip in slot#2, pilot-screw set at 2 1/2 turns.

(default stock jet-needle clip in slot#2, pilot-screw is set at 2 1/8 turns).

do not set more than 2 1/2 turns, if need more than 2.5 turns then need to change next bigger size slow-jet.

also check cam accelerator cable adjustment is about parallel or at least a bit below the throttle valve cable.

(tat means u can see the cam lift up when twist the throttle at full throttle it still can be lifted up by a bit maybe 1mm or less).

if u r unsure how to do it, ask cka mech to do it 4 u.

my current carb setting is different from stock.

i've change slow-jet n main-jet to the next one size up, tat means

stock is using slow-jet#38 n main-jet#100.

next one size up is slow-jet#40 n main-jet#102.

with slow-jet#40 n main-jet#102, pilot-screw setting is different, eg.

jet-needle clip in slot#4, pilot-screw is set at 1 turn.

jet-needle clip in slot#3, pilot-screw is set at 1 1/4 turn (correction, pls change this to 1 1/8 turn).

jet-needle clip in slot#2, pilot-screw is set at 1 1/2 turn (correction, pls change this to 1 1/4 turn).

reason is i find harder to start engine when i set carb settings with jet-needle clip in slot#2, pilot-screw is set at 1 1/2 turn.

i tried set pilot-screw at 1 3/8 turn n engine start easier but will set it at 1 1/4 turn which i assumed it to be all around better starting n running the engine.

just came back from cka toh guan....

change clutch plate, clutch spring, oil filter.....

he coment abt the royal pruple oil...

say dun use these oil, bla bla bla.... hahaha...

but after i try the bike... walla, the bike feels good...

maybe because of the thick oil, it lessen the vibration, more smooth... with my new set of clutch, the bike is now more responsive and no more clutch slipping... hahaha..

$$ worth spend...

who is the mech tat make the comments? can send him back to kampong.

most malayias mech dun even know much about oil properties.

i really hate those mechs make lousy comments then sell u their oil products n additives.

i had lot of engine problems using these oil products n additives.

dun trust them, worst r oil additives in the market, DO NOT USE THEM!

bro relax.. hahaha

his name is ah kok ah.. not sure if its the corect spelling...

maybe he dun like thick oil ah, and summo the colour of the oil so dark.. haha

but what maters most is we like it...

u should tell him to support rp eo for the good of daelim bikes.

there is an rp agent in sillypore, dun know y bike shops dun support.

rp is like amoil eo, extended life eo but amoil is more expensive S$24/btl.

i cant coment to him as i have not tired the eo...

but after trying, i will if he ask me not to use it again, i have my opinion to share with him...

maybe he never see these oil b4 ah, then think that its some lauya brand or sumting,

to add to it the colour of the oil is purple, look like used eo.. haha

yeap theres an agent for rp, but not sure if they bring in motorcyle oil... but my car friends get their rp from them...

My speedometer was spoiled a month ago (some friction sounds which I thought initially was from front brake linings, but disappeared when I shook the speedo). I took it to KB shop and they tried to fix it. After a few days the rpm needle broke off so I brought it back to them last friday night and left it there. Got it back yesterday afternoon and guess what? I've got a BRAND NEW speedo, all under warranty! Roy's the man!
