X5 has better horsepower than rw, 1 horsepower (hp) more.

X5 can reach top speed 110 kph quicker, maybe by a few seconds.

X5 can pickup n run faster than normal rw becoz of better hp.

X5 has bigger engine capacity 140cc, whereas rw has 125cc engine.

everything else both r the same.

gear train r the same = gear ratio, sprocket ratio n rear tire size.

so top speed is the same @ 110 kph.

hey guys.. i recently took out my airbox and replace my air filter. this changed the sound of my bike to a more aggressive sound.

however, recently while riding i notice strange noises coming from my bike and kept having the feeling like something dropped while riding on expway... i just checked my air filter again just now after a long ride and found out that either my air filter got stolen or it fell off. currently my bike has no air filter.

can anyone advise next course of action? should i stop riding and bring bike asap to cka to replace air filter? any effects on my bike now that i found out it has been airfilter-less for sometime?

i think you should stop riding until u replace the air filter. dust might enter and damage ur engine

i estimate that i been riding for bout 4 days without air filter.. just got it replaced today at kaki bukit... had to but a new simota filter ($35 w/o installn) from excel cycles cause cka hq dun sell cheap air filters.. they only had KNN and one other kind.. both ranging $120-150.. lucky roy pity me and never charge for installn...

i found parts of the old air filter near the bottom of the engine... so i think its 100percent drop off...

hey guys, forgive me if this has been asked before. do you guys buy your own engine oil and have it changed at CKA during servicing? cos i just went there and they charged me 31 bucks in total.

if so, wad brand engine oil do you use?

btw, there's some oil stain on my tank and i can't remove it. crap. wad's worse, my bike is white. :sian:

$31 for bringing ur own oil and they change? or $31 for new bottle of eo?

from what i heard, labour charge for bringing own eo and ask them change is bout $5.

if $31 dollars for new eo, then what eo u using?

i think you misunderstd me. it's $31 for having my eo change. the eo itself cost 23 bucks or so. the agent/ mech told me to use the OWS 800 eo.

i was wondering if any of you are using other brand eo? can recommend any? heh

liqui moly serve me really well.. but the price is on the upz side...

royal purple tried, way better then ows but not as amazing as liqui moly, but the pice is way cheaper.....

motul 300 tried, and not using it again... maybe not suite for rw or my riding style....

maxima used for a while never fully utilise as emergency change eo as theres slight leak and was going up muar... but same feel like rp...

liqui moly....is it the brand of eo?

hope it doesn't has mos2 (molybdenum disulfate)?

if u do understand, moly has it's advantage but really bad mix in eo, just like telfon.

tat's why major engine oil manufacturers until now still dun want to touch moly n telfon as ingredients in engine oil.

i dun want moly or telfon in engine oil, mainly they r for external use like grease or coatings.

if it just a name of eo than it's really a bad choice to be named, every engr/tech will avoid it for engine use.

liquimoly is namesake or is it??

didn't mention of any moly ingredient in it's oil contents.

u r using 10w-60 which it's viscosity is too thick.

best for rw is to use 20w-50 api grade.

it specify clearing api 'SG/SH' but click on technical data sheet, it specify api 'SL'.

avoid api 'SJ' n above, stick to api 'SG' or 'SH'.

reason is api 'SJ' n above, zddp is replaced by other anti-friction ingredient.

also avoid oil additives tat contains moly or telfon.

why??? u may ask.....

all these started in the 70's n 80's where many oil additives entrepreneurs.

USA consumers r protected, manufacturers have to proof the product will function as intended product.

unlike the rest of the world, example sillypore, we have to proof wrong of a product.

many of those have been sued by consumers n compensated in USA.

no longer able to survive in USA.

they branched out to rest of the world gullible consumers like u n me.

i still can see many oil additives on acc shops with moly n telfon as ingredients.

im not sure abt the theoricaly part of the things... but im sure it serve me very well and it suite my riding style... i cant remember i took the 10w 60 or the 50 rating... i cant feel clutch slipping unlike the current im using ows 800..

thick viscosity 60, more resistance of oil flow, will reduce the engine vibs thus can felt engine is smoother than 50.

oil flow resistance also hinder the horsepower as the engine has to work against.

thinner viscosity like 40, lesser resistance of oil flow, engine vibs more thus can feel engine is noisier n rougher run.

in real life, 40 grade produce more horsepower but most of us dislike the heavy vibs of the engine.

thus choosing a balance btwn heavy vibs n hp, use 20w-50 grade EO is the best. :thumb:
