Its quite normal now paying high interest. Since now you working, try save up as much as you can first buying the bike so you can have a larger downpayment. Although the minimum dp is 20% of bike's cost, try to down as much as you can, that way you can minimize your interest charges.

Remember, if you take 3 yrs installment, it is equivalent to paying 7X3= 21% extra for bike value. So always down as much as you can, or if you can afford it take the shortest installment plan. I paying $350++ a month (1.5 yrs plan). Quite shiong but the bright side is that i only left 7 more months to pay lor!! :cheer: :cheer:

how much is everything to put it otr?

care 2 share a breakdown of costs? ins too? im interested to get 1 too.. not sure if 2nd hand is worth it tho considering the depreciation

I bought the bike when they were having dsplay at Tampines Mall.. All in 7.5k otr so didn't really ask about the ins and all. Came with Box(can put 2 Helmet), IU, Bottom cover (small fering thingy). My guess is my ins should be around 500 plus..

Just got a call from CKA and my bike is ready for collectin today!! Yay!! That was fast. Btw I bought the Silver color one.

I got the shock of my life when my fuel gauge showed empty @250 odo.. Then I read back on this forum and realised the fg problem.. phew..

Have not tried more than 90km/h yet but bike seems to vibrate a lot at certain speed in a gear be it low or high gear. Prob in mid range.. Is that normal?

I also realised that the rear guard covering the tire is touching the mounting screw for my box and it is starting to eat the cover. Will try to rectify with CKA on this..

All in all is satisfied with bike. Prob need and extra 6th gear for smoother ride at higher speed..

Yup, will be going to CKA today for bike checkup..

Also discovered that bike engine starting to have ringing sound (like screw lose) in the engine at 70kph 5th gear. Will bring it up to the mech then..

Is the ringing sound obvious? I have noticed that Roadwin engine sound is more high pitch than the low muffling of a phantom or the normal idling of the trainer bikes in the driving centres.

what you do is the put the bike in neutral and on main stand and rev the bike while stationary at that particular rpm to see if you still can hear it. If you cant it is prolly not engine related, could be number plate screws not tightened, box vibration etc.

If you still doubtful, then bring to Roy. :goodluck:

which side?? left or right??

when run high speed(110~120kph) occassionally got this grind metal sound on my left-side, slow down n downshift the thing is gone.....recently tighten chain, didn't appear again. last time found chain cover cracked, patched it thought it was the problem.

don't sound like it is the chain but more like from the inside the engine's timing chain or it's tensioner or something else. :cheeky:

Its on the left side. Sam, the mech did the check and told me the arm for rear wheel not aligned properly (hence the vibration) so he fixed it. As for the ringing sound, its not so obvious now but still there.. I believe it is what you said that something is loose, prob tensioner.. Had the same problem with my phantom last time.. Did you resolve it?

Changed my sprocket to 15/41T (recomended by the mech) can see some improvement in speed and rpm not so high and scary as before..

Will ride out for a few more days to get a feel of the new set up..

No need la, just turn your head fully when you wanna check your blindspots like how your instructor taught you. No need to exaggerate, some testers dun like and may just give you unncessary points just becoz of that.

Remember, you are at their mercy, so just be cool and be confident, they can tell if you really deserve to pass or not. After all, they were all mostly ex TP themselves :goodluck:

LED lights generally do not consume much current and are brighter compared to tungsten types too!

I pm the guy who bought the Roadwin type said to get the 2 pin type and not the socket type.
