Umm... this brings me to another question... Which 2B bike has the best resale value? It's also a factor for me as I'm definitely going to upgrade after 2B...

And... between the Pulsar 180 and the Roadwin 125... which one has better resale value??

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Actually, The reason why I'm afraid to take KIPS150 or NSR150SP. There are no longer in production. Which means that... the possibility of getting a "bad" bike is higher. Is it true?

Secondly, I'm afraid that I may not have enough skills to handle a sportsbike. Is it true that sportsbikes are more difficult to handle as compared to streetbikes?

And... as for Phantom 200, I've heard a lot of stories about its rear wheel locking easily. I really don't know how far it's true. Plus, I don't really fancy the designing that much.

So that's why I'm looking more towards streetbikes or scramblers...

I thought about Pulsar but afraid about its resale value... Of course, if I can help it, I would like to choose a Jap brand instead...

old bikes with proper maintenances is still a good bike.

even if u brought a poorly maintained bike tat need repairs.

it's still a good thing for u to learn more about bike maintenance.

human beings r very adaptable animal, handling different bikes will take awhile to get use of it, don't be too concern about it. without trying out u won't learn any skills. one reason why as we get older, the wiser we be.

lock wheel largely due to rider's unawareness of how much force when braking.

it's a skill tat has to be learn from experience n constantly practice.

many riders will applied full force n not knowingly when to release it.

chances of getting rear wheel skimming/fishtail when it is locked.

scramblers r great n robust becoz not easily damage if u luv off-track riding.

streetbikes r meant for urban road so won't be wrong on this choice.

in fact all 2b jap bikes r made in thailand or china, also got no resale value.

if brought new, resale after 1~2 yr value less 60%.

go for any 2~3 yrs bike if u plan upgrade to 2a.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate that! Maybe I might just go for a Pulsar after all! (judging from the specs and people's review in the forum) And learn not to be bias against non-Japanese brands.

seriously i dun understand why u need to worry about training for 2A. As long as ur bike is manual gear and has a tank for u to grip, your're essentially in the same posture. Worry more about picking up bad habits in your probation year. Alot of riders go back for lessons with all the bad habits.

If you are going to ta1 your 2B year, get a really cheap bike. I was riding yamaha rx100..bought for 600, sold for 300.. i'm not complaining.

From the ice cream man bike aka my little black lamb RX100..to All Blacks Bandit 400, to the legendary 1285 bandit;)

What cheap bikes do you suggest other than kups? (In my opinion, kups are not so good for training because they don't have fuel tank for me to grip.)

Skills, common sense, correct technique, balance, and an easy mind are all recipes to success.

Good luck!
