to my best knowledge, 1st hand cannot take 3rd party insurance. but if u cash out the bike without installment, i think 3rd party can.

try and ask the shop to quote u the insurance. i think they can give u a better ans...

I'm concern with why you want to take a 3rd party insurance....

FYI, Not too sure about bike companies but I think 1 reason why you should not buy 3rd party insurance for bikes under installment is that the bike if involved in a serious accident (TOUCHWOOD) pose a risk that it may not be viable for repair. In such cases if you are at fault and under 3rd party insurance, you think you may have to rarry on the installments even though you no longer have the bike. With comprehensive insurance at least there is an insurance payout and can use it to redeem the loan.

I am not so sure about bike but that's the case for a friend of mine driving a car and got into an accident (while trying to avoid a dog) and the car caught fire and the insurance company scrapped the car. He got a comprehesive insurance payout. Imagine if he eas on 3rd party.... he would have to bear the high repair cost and still carry on with his car installment

20 years old ? New Spec3 ?

be prepared to fork out 1.2 - 1.5K for insurance for TPFT at least.

fyi it still cost close to 900 for a 5 years old cb400 for a 21 year old.

new bike, prepare to pay much more man.

Mitsui, the one which im using is: $1092,

NTUC: $1402,

AIG:819

Hopefully those S4 riders in- the-making will profit from this info. =)

And oh, you guys have any links to spec 3 help topics? Will help me out, there's this irritating button near the odometer, very irritating cos i dunno wat it does. Anyone care to help out? :help:

Hi everyone.. i am gettin FZ S4.. I have a question for everyone who jus get S4. I haven done up my insurance and i am pending dunno which company to get from. I am 22 this year. Currently to my knowledge to all available insurance company are:

NTUC

AXA

AIG

Alliance

Mitsui

Which one offers the best quotation for 3rd Party(TPFT) or normally known as 2nd Party.. Thanks Alot..

Thanks to those posted.. :)

not sure about the rest but NTUC is the most difficult to claim and takes the longest time to settle if anything bad happens.
