Top block sevice.

Hi guys! I want to know how much is the usual top block services in Singapore? Coz i need to change valve and spring . Thanks in advance guys. I'm riding an X1r btw.

you can try calling unique motor or HL cycle for a quotation. they are quite friendly.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've called Unique and they quoted me $220. Not a bad price really. My distance is at 48k.

why need service? anything happen to ur bike? im sorry abit lousy coz my x1r also 48k =D

4 stroke bike no need busy on top block service...

as long as no consume EO, just ride it.

 

a lot of my colleague who live in JB, daily travel distance around 50-130km.

saw their odometer, mostly 100kkm over still running strong without top block service....

bike model, 135LC, CBR150, Wave 125,Suzuki Shogun.

had check with them the maintenance tips:-

just make sure using OEM oil filter(which applicable) on each oil change

and change engine oil regularly, around 2000-3000km.

 

 

2 stroke engine was different story~

IIRC, TS posted before that his engine had an unusual noise. He even posted a youtube video on it.

 

I read of one malaysian LC135 managed to do 190,000km in 6.5years before he needed to do an overhaul. He is using shell ax7 engine oil. Change oil every 2,000-2,500km. Oil filter is every 2 oil change.

 

But I guess he is really pushing it...

Mine 50k le also x1r rider. Dun so mafan bro. Go pump caltex and whack ur bike with new EO. U will feel the different after that.
